Good luck Eagles
All MAC Brethren are fans tonight!
We are on our way up to Ford field... It may be an uphill climb but Creighton has done a good job, and the Eagles know what it takes to beat P5 teams.

10-0 EMU at the end of one, though Pitt is driving.
After years and years of some people making fun of Eastern's attendance it's cool seeing the Huron faithful turn out for a big game. Especially when a P5 not incredibly far away did not.

Awesome crowd. But I thought some Motor City Bowl or Little Caesars Crowds with like Purdue were better? Unless Quicklane has their own records... Then the Lending Tree Bowl will also set records in 2019.

Yes, there have been larger crowds for the Detroit bowl, but the bowl was under different sponsors. As such, the stats are separate.

Sponsor titles have nothing to do with it. The Motor City/Little Caesar Bowl was owned by a different company. The Lions saw that they could make money, so they started their own bowl (Quick Lane Bowl).

Yep. Even so, it demonstrates why the Detroit-based bowl is much more suitable in the MAC's hands, and wisely we will be a first tie-in starting in 2020 again. If a MI MAC team or UT/BG is in it especially, they'll have a good turnout at the gate. Also helps that it was 55 degrees yesterday for traveling.
MAC's #1 and #2 deserve warm weather destinations. But I wish we had a few more regional bowls instead of Boise, Frisco, etc., for our #3 and down teams. (The Bahamas is still going strong yet the Toronto bowl, which had decent attendance all things considered, folded up quickly... I'm guessing the ESPN brass enjoys the annual boondoggle to Nassau on the company dime). Indianapolis would be perfect, I mean a relatively short drive in the midpoint between WMU and WKU for this year, for example.

Wonder what the actual tickets sold numbers were outside of the freebies compliments of Quick Lane.

Dear Polish Hammer,
My brother and I attended the game and purchased our tickets from Eastern. Walking to the stadium we were asked by a half dozen different people if we had extra tickets to sell. If, many freebies were being given, these fans didn't get them.

Dear Ken Barna,
I have been to many games that had not sold out and was approached by people asking if I had extra tickets to sell. Those people are called “scalpers” and not “fans”. It’s what they do, and in no way reflect a lack of tickets available. Since this was obviously your first game and/or introduction to ticket scalping, they usually have a sign saying they need tickets but in fact have handfuls of tickets on their person hoping some schmuck had somebody back out of the game and sell them the ticket(s) at pennies on the dollar and then flip them.

We scalped our tickets 5 minutes after kickoff for 20 a piece in section 126.
