The 35 degree temperature drop is comical. How does that luck work out again down there!

Look no further than grand ol' Virginy for a rollercoaster ride of weather this week. In the Valley, for example, 2-3 inches of snow expected tomorrow and then late week and into the weekend temps will approach 70. Crazy (warm) start to the decade. No complaints, btw.

well, I'll be leaving Seattle in 47 degree rain... so net net for me. Just wanna see some of that big yellow orb in the sky that folks say still exists. At least it won't be -476 degrees Kelvin like it was in 2016.

Sounds perfect. Just like the 3 playoff games.

That's what I think too......but dang there were a lot of weather excuses used for every one of those games.

I saw about a dozen forecasts, including the National Weather Service. Most are calling for a high around 50 (most say 47), low around 30, 20% chance of morning showers, winds 15 MPH, gusting to 20+. Not ideal football weather, but it could be worse, like the 7 degrees it was 3 years ago.
As I recall was about that around 6-7 AM, but then had warmed into the 20s by kickoff (box score says was 23) and into the low 30s by the end of the game.

The temp isn't a big deal, but the wind (I don't care about how it effects the fans, but how it effects the game).

Yea, I'm more nervous about the wind than anything else weather-related right now

Me, too. However, I think it is advantage, Dukes, if it is windy. Lance is used to throwing in the wind-free pole barn.

Regardless of passing game, more wind reduces the odds of successful field goals, one area I believe we normally hold an advantage.
Would prefer less wind myself, both for comfort reasons and game play. But think we'll get it done either way.

I would think that would benefit us. My primary concern is their passing game and our secondary, and if it comes down to the lines and the rushing game, especially in bad weather, I think it's advantage Dukes.

I've been tracking on weather underground (pick your poison, I know). It looks like the rain has moved to the wee hours of Saturday morning and Friday night, but as others have said, still looks like it's going to be awfully windy.

I was just looking at the same thing. As long as it's dry, I think it will be fine. If the wind turns this into a run-heavy game of attrition along the lines, advantage Dukes.
My concern is just going to be getting there now. Friday looks like thunderstorms all night long.

Friday looks ugly all day long. I'm flying out of DCA in the morning and even I'm still worried about that forecast

Talking about Frisco I guess? It may not be the most pleasant time to be out and about, but not seeing anything on dark sky that makes me worry about flights getting there.
See now the accuweather forecast does mention heavy winds close to tornado level ... which can make landing a problem.

Yep, I was just thinking about landing there. Then I'll likely just wait out the rest of the ugly rain at some brewery waiting for friends to get in too

9:40 Southwest? Thinking there will be lots of purple on that flight!

I'm 7AM direct out of Richmond on Friday but really may look into a Thursday night flight now.
