texas themed songs in the 4th Qtr
What 3 songs did JMU play in the 4th Qtr that just stuck daggers in the hearts of Weber. I saw Our players and fans cowboying it up. I know the first one was Alabama's, If your gonna play in Texas, and another one was Deep in the Heart of Texas. We knew we were Frisco bound.

Benefit of having been there twice in the last 3 years. JMU Staff were prepared. 04-cheers

I believe the 3rd was Cotton-Eyed Joe.

If you're gonna play in Texas - Alabama
Deep in the heart of Texas - Gene Autry
Yellow Rose of Texas - ?

You could be right on the 3rd. For some reason Cotton-eyed Joe came to mind. I have no idea why.

I love that the first song pissed Weber off and they scored their trash time TD with generous help from the refs.

We then just kept trolling them anyways with two more Texas songs.

Ahh yes. You are correct. I was wondering why a song like that would come to mind. Hilarious.

It was Yellow Rose of Texas. When I heard it I was surprised they played the 19th-century song. Always liked that song.

Did you notice during the third song the ref intentionally left his mic on while blowing the whistle for the teams to come back out. I think the ref was a little butt hurt. He blew the whistle not once not twice but three times with his mic on. Ha!

They played all four songs during the fourth quarter. I got a tiny bit nervous when they started with almost five minutes left (2017 memories anyone??) but it all turned out just fine. It was so fun to see the joy on the faces of the players as the game wound down.

Shame on you for starting this thread.

All day long the song "If you want to play in Texas, there's got to be a fiddle in the band'" has been running over and over in my mind. Of course that is the only part of the song I know....

When I got to my car I queued that up and blasted it, but through the chorus was all I could stand 03-lmfao

RE: texas themed songs in the 4th Qtr
I kept waiting for them to play, "All my ex's live in Texas"! Then there is this:

WILLIE NELSON
Texas On A Saturday Night Lyrics

Well there's nothing quite like Texas on a Saturday night
Nothin' can compare to it no matter how you try
Nevada never closes New York City's got bright lights
But it's nothing quite like Texas on a Saturday night
Everybody's goin' San Antonio on a Saturday night
River walkin' talkin' western swingin' singin'
Songs of love and yellow roses

There's nothing quite like Texas on a Saturday night
It's honky tonkin' heaven underneath that lone star sky
You can lose your blues in Mexico with their women and their wine
Cause it's nothing quite like Texas on a Saturday night
[ fiddle - steel ]
Well there's nothing quite like Texas on a Saturday night
Nothing can compare to it no matter how you try
Colorodo's mighty friendly with your Rocky Mountain high
But it's nothing quite like Texas on a Saturday night
When the sun goes down it's time to paint the town
That's when you hear those fiddles play
[ fiddle ]
From Dallas to Del Rio and up to Amarillo they'll be dancin' in the streets
Loud and rowdy howdy howdy haughty lawdy
How I wish that I could be in Abilene
There's nothing quite like Texas on a Saturday night
Nothing can compare to it no matter how you try
Nevada never closes New York City's got bright lights
But it's nothing quite like Texas on a Saturday night
But it's nothing quite like Texas on a Saturday night
