Are Streamers Again Banned at the NC?
I assume they are "technically" banned which again should not stop JMU fans - but will wait for the official word.

Perhaps they should ban the nerdy Flintstones hats. 03-lmfao

RE: Are Streamers Again Banned at the NC?
They were banned before. I still had like 3 on me. After the first TD the streamers flew and stadium staff threatened me with ejection if I threw any more. The official word will be that they are banned, and JMU will go along with it.

Take 2 streamers: one for the first touchdown (then accept your warning from the game staff), and one for 00:00 in the 4th. See Hyper's comments in other threads regarding how to smuggle streamers into Toyota Stadium.

Step 0: smuggle as many streamers in as many jacket compartments as possible
Step 1: have seats not on the aisle or front row
Step 2: throw streamers whenever you want
Step 3: don’t throw streamers onto the sidelines

Key is to not throw them in any manner that will cost our team. Surprised we were not flagged or warned this past Saturday.

Obviously there’s no BFS ban and I was heaving them myself, but when they’re landing on the field of play and hitting the referee or opposition coaches/players I’d expect a warning.

Hahaha, did they really hit a ref? I take back my insult.

Also, you should have been at Colgate. Student section was heaving snowballs at our players/coaches. Refs saw it. Security saw it. Nothing happened.

Frisco had nothing to do with it.

It was a NDSU thing last time.

NDSU whined and the NCAA said - ok, for you anything.

What’s funny is they whined after we did that vs Youngstown St.

Sorry dude, your first post here was in April this year, prior to that you were all MAC and Kent St. So, yeah, compared to other folks here that have been to all of our Natty games, you are a JMU newbie, which is why you are excused from not understanding our traditions.

Thanks, I may not be around as long as the longtime veterans like you but I’m fully aware of the traditions.

Can we start a petition to ban stupid, massive bison hats that block views? That's far more destructive to the viewing experience.

The officials stayed out of it (as they should) but police and RMC staff asked the fans to stop and they did.

Yeah - I was about 5 rows up from the field with a security guy staring up in the stands. Avoided throwing when he was looking. Seemed to have been hundreds thrown when appropriate. They did not check much at entrance into the stadium.

And JMU went out of their way to put streamers in bold on the prohibited items list. I hate that our admin are such pu$$ies. Please encourage your timid friends to not be afraid to bring in hidden streamers.

I absolutely cannot see them doing anything to someone who throws and makes sure it stays in the stands. With that said, I'd still wait until I didn't feel eyes were focused on me.
