I've seen this movie before. Littrell fires some of his staff, it buys him another year, and then he gets sacked and shows up as the Marshall OC. Best of luck UNT, I hope he works this out.

Me too, but I don't have much faith right now. Graham Harrell and Mason Fine really made him look like a great coach for three years.

LA Tech just lost its' OC Todd Fitch to Vanderbilt, and it's DC Bob Diaco to Purdue. Unfortunately, this is just a hallmark of our position in the food chain. If you have a G5 program that's successful, the assistant coaching positions are a constant revolving door.

BTW, LA Tech fans don't mind losing Fitch at all. He was not well-liked by Tech fans, and many consider his loss a breath of fresh air.

But most Tech fans consider Diaco a big loss. Of course, we didn't like losing his predecessor Blake Baker to Miami last year, or Bakers predecessor Manny Diaz to Miss State back in 2015. But it's time for LA Tech to reload, and find the next generation of assistant coaches who want to move up!

You're only as good as those around you.

Keeping good assistant coaches seems impossible. Finding them is hard enough. The money they're making is stupid.

Avoiding bad ones is just as crucial.

Littrell has some work to do. Needs another QB for sure.

Yeah I wasn't very impressed with the OC. It's for the best that he's moving on. And Vanderbilt isn't such a great gig anyway. He'll be coaching inferior talent against SEC superstars.

I don't see Littrell getting sacked. He was smart enough to fire those that needed firing (OC & DC + both line coaches). While I'm not overly enthusiastic about hiring Bowen as the DC. He is better than our old DC, and this hire could have been worse. As long as Littrell lands a good OC, the North Texas program should be a .500 team next season, and back on track to being a bowl team withing two seasons. Our talent level is improving. But, Littrell does need to find another experienced QB to run the show.
