If we can't get a school that we really want, then I say Old Dominion or UAB. Both fill in some geographic gaps, are in metro areas and don't have a pro team.

If the criteria for joining the AAC is “whoever posts the most on AAC expansion threads”, Panama has most assuredly secured Ga States place in the conference.


Now if you’ll excuse me I have some more “5-0 in bowl games” drinking to do.

I lived in Vegas myself from 2005 to 2009 and Pahrump is not in Vegas. I drove through there once and stopped to get a sandwich and fries at a diner. There was a young guy and a hooker at the next booth and he was negotiating for a BJ. They talked for about 20 minutes and he finally agreed to paying $400.00 for 15 minutes of service. It's a sad thing to be eating a sandwich and hearing that crap.

As far as chili spaghett (correct Cincy pronunciation) I actually would not know as I am a vegan.

Has Henderson gone legal as yet ? They were discussing it when I lived out there.

You do realize that State College, Pa, where PSU plays, used to take up to 3 hours (or more) to travel the 80 miles from Harrisburg, Pa. For geographic perspective, State College is in the middle of nowhere. Yet, they'd draw over 100K for every game regardless of the opponent. You'd be parking in what many called affectionately called a cow pasture, but still fans came from over 100 miles in every direction to get to the games. Scalping tickets at a nice profit (good seats) was a normal pre-game activity.

Point is that location of the stadium won't matter if winning is happening.

I don't think Georgia State is ready for the upgrade but I would like to have the AAC in town.

I don't think Georgia State is ready for the upgrade but I would like to have the AAC in town.

If you could expand in either the East or the West .In the East add Air Force for football and VCU , Dayton or St.Louis for basketball . If you expand to the west add UNLV , New Mexico and CSU for all sports. for all sports . Air Force is my top football only , VCU is my top basketball only and UNLV is my top all sports pick. It would be smart to add the Las Vegas media market .
