Winning 6 games or more.

Central Michigan was a turd team that somehow won a MAC division. Wisconsin beat them 61-0. The best team they beat was 6-6 Toledo.

Massey has them ranked #81, and that is before the SDSU slaughter.

Zero business in a bowl.
Even if the MAC West was a dumpster fire this year they still won 6 and won their division. That's enough to get you in regardless of how awful you are. They probably should have been matched up with someone else, but tie-ins are tie-ins.

Maybe next year Toledo and NIU will unfasten heads from hind-ends and make the division semi-respectable again.

I know it was enough to get them in a bowl, they were in a bowl!

But they shouldn't have been. Terrible team.
