100%. Kennedy is fast and elusive, but he's too small to be able to go between the tackles consistently.

Breida was a gem. Had a super low recruiting rating, only had 3 FBS offers (Ball State, Akron, and Toledo), and was under the radar for even most of our fans. He had the speed naturally, and by his junior year added a ton of muscle to go along with the speed. It's shame his senior year was ruined by Summers.

This is true. Although Wes Kennedy is mixed in there at times, Southern still needs that speed threat.

Southern did land 2-3 additional offensive athletes, but I'm not sure how many of them will stay on that side of the ball. In addition, one tore his ACL his senior season.

What signee are you most anticipated to see from this APP class? App and Southern often fight for same recruits, but I didn't notice that this season.

We don't need faster backs. We need better blocking. We saw Matt Breida struggle to do anything his senior year because Tyson Summers took a good OL and made them really bad. He was out-rushed by LA Ramsby and Wesley Fields that season.

King and Wright are the top backs because power backs do better with flakey blocking, and unless you've got a LeDanian Tomlinson that's going to limit speed.

I would say Je'Mari Littlejohn. The dude is fast, tenacious, and is a violent hitter. Whatever he hits stops almost immediately. If not for a torn ACL he likely ends up at an SEC school. Tennessee was courting him hard over the summer.

Also really excited to see DeAndre Dingle-Prince. Played 3 tech, I believe, for Lee County in Sanford, NC. Played next to UNC's first 5 star commitment in sometime so he was overshadowed. But half of his total tackles were tackles for a loss. He's explosive at 6'1 260 lbs and with an offseason or two of work, could bulk up to 290 and get App that Myquon Stout force back lined up over center.

He's a guy that would've been a 4 star recruit if he were 6'3 270 rather than 6'0 to 6'1 and 250 lbs. Film on him is very impressive.

Last guy i'm excited about is Jalen Mcleod (not the last guy but you asked for one signee). He's got long arms, long legs, and a motor like we saw on Keenan Gilchrist but with some attitude to go with it. Seems to be one of the more athletically gifted guys who can really run, works hard, and hits even harder. Should help shrink the field side of the play at OLB with his length, speed, and burst.

exactly this!

And also, saying we need more speedy guys like Matt Breida is laughable. While yes, it would be nice to have, Matt Breida has elite NFL speed. Guys with that kind of speed don't come around every recruiting cycle. Wesley Kennedy is a speedy guy and has proven that multiple times.

I wasn't saying you needed Breida. I'm saying that what you guys have now stands in stark contract to what you had when you had Breida and Ellison with Fritz. Perhaps the blocking scheme or coaching is an issue but it doesn't seem to be a personnel problem to me, in watching Georgia Southern.

My take is that in order to be a true run heavy spread option style team, you have to have speed and discipline. Again, Wright and King are great additions but relying solely on Kennedy to be your home run hitter is where you lose games. If not for an App State linebacker following the motion on Southern's last touchdown in that game, you probably lose.

You get in games against Louisiana and Troy and see what happens when you go against length that can fill those gaps faster. You have one guy that can really exploit that area and that's Kennedy.

Need speed to stretch the field horizontally to take guys out of the box and make your offensive line's job that much easier.

The Cajuns biggest signee for next year has been sitting out this year from a transfer. Tayland Humphrey was a 4* signee from FIU with a 2018 grade of 0.8991.

While we don't have the highest player in the signing class, I'm curious where our count would be in the number of top 25 or 50 rather than the top 10. We have what appears to be a pretty deep class with the averages I'm seeing.

Go watch the film (digital film) and let us know your thoughts. Provided my thoughts about 3 App guys I see as having potential to make an impact, most likely beginning in 2021.
