Congrats from an old friend...
Hi all - I just wanted to send you guys a somewhat belated congrats on the win over NIU, and wish the Dukes good luck the rest of the way. I don’t post on message boards much anymore, but I’ve watched as much of the playoffs as I could. The Dukes are impressive!

I was really excited about the possibility of the Griz and Dukes squaring off again, but it wasn’t to be. Maybe next year — our team is getting better, but we’re not quite “back” yet.

Good luck!

Good to have the Griz back in the top 10. Was also hoping for a Montana-JMU Semifinal. Let's do it next year!

Thanks! Sorry you guys didn't get it done last weekend. A lot of us wanted to face the Griz. I think it was a more appealing matchup for JMU fans... ya know that whole 2008 thing that still stings after all these years.
There is no doubt Montana is a threat once again. I would be shocked if Montana weren't in the top 4 next season. Very few people thought you would be in the mix, so props on getting as far as you did.
Feel no shame if you want to root for the Dukes this offseason. Hopefully we can get some revenge for you this weekend.

Montana is better than Weber. But, not when you turn it over one hundred times!

I don’t really know what happened to us in that game, to be honest. If you read our message board, people are saying our team just didn’t show up, or they weren’t prepared, or whatever, but I honestly don’t think that’s true. It’s kind of weird to say this, but other than Sneed’s five interceptions, the team actually played pretty well. Even the offense looked pretty good up until about halfway through the second quarter. We were only up 7-0 at that point, but we were moving the ball, and Weber wasn’t. If you’d have asked me at that point how I thought the game was going to turn out, I’d have thought we win by 2-3 tds.

And then, the wheels came off. And yet, even after giving up five picks and a blocked punt for a TD, we still only lost by 7.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda...

Man that reminds me of a JMU playoff game from years ago where we had four TOs and still only lost by eight.

That was us last year at Colgate. A team we would beat by 30 any other day.

Like others said, I was really looking forward to the possibility of some payback in another cold semi-final Bridgeforth matchup with the Griz. Maybe next year. Cool to see Montana back in the mix of things though, hopefully we can look forward to some great JMU/Montana playoff games.

I was sort of looking for a return of Montana to Harrisonburg, we need to revenge that 2008 loss. Nothing against Weber, lot's of respect for their program, but we're one up on them and have a home and home deal scheduled. If we're going to remain FBS, we've got to reach out of our comfort zone to better OOC competition. So give us a call.

Welcome back Grizlaw! Flashback to 2004 or 2008 on here?

Best of luck to Montana football next year and we'll see you in the playoffs.
