Has 247 changed their evaluation procedure or is the AAC recruiting at a higher level. It seems that the average player ranking is two or three points higher than five years ago. I wonder if they are evaluating players at a higher clip or we are cutting into the p5 athletes.

There is a lot of speculation of Chase Brice transferring here, which would be huge. Not holding my breath though, he will get a lot of offers from "P5" schools.

I agree there seem to be more 3*s from 247. The AAC is making the most with their 3* players and can play with anyone in the ACC except maybe Clemson. So both are true, higher evaluations from 247 and better evaluating from coaches in the AAC. SMU for one is not taking players they have to stretch for as much as they used to but taking more transfers who were higher rated out of high school.

He’s hitting it hard. Super active now but our class will be very low ranked because we will take more transfers than recruits. He has actually backed off of several commits because they aren’t what he was looking for.... we’ve lost 3 high school commits because he nudged them to go elsewhere.

Because he could start right away for a “P5” school, their last QB transfer ended up at Northwestern.

Doubt chase Brice is coming to USF. We just got a commitment from Miami Centrals Katravis Marsh who was committed to Utah. High three star kid with a lot of upside.

We also got 4 star Offensive tackle Cesar Reyes this weekend along with 3 star OLB Le'vontae Camiel

We just picked up another 3 star, this one from Booker T Washington. Tramel Login Jr, DE/OLB

So that’s 4 we’ll ranked recruits in his first weekend. I am liking coach Scott.

And commit #5, 3 star WR Sincere Brown just commited.

So USF has 6 visitors last week and all 6 have committed. All 6 were three star kids with 2 being high 3/4. I’d say we got someone who knows how to close!

I don’t see any of them as high 3 stars according to the 247 composite (The best source imo). Good pickups, but nothing too huge.

regardless of their rating (rivals says 3 are 2 stars and 3 are 3 stars), i most impressed by their size. all 6 recruits are listed at 6'4" or taller.

I don’t care for rivals rankings.... and we just landed our 7th commit from the weekend. All 3 stars according to various rankings.

We’ve moved from 12th to 8th in AAC with still one of the smallest classes.
