Search has been over since it started. Still have to make an effort so it doesn't appear that you are settling for someone.

When I saw the thread title, I said a prayer to baby Jesus, that Freeze was the one that was chosen. We will all have to live with the disappointment.

I’d still take Freeze.... I don’t like the dude, but he’d keep us winning. I hope Silverfield is the real deal and can keep up the momentum....

I don’t think it’s at this stage yet. It’s not Silverfields job yet but I’m ok with him being hired. He will work that’s for sure

It could be worse, the Hogs hired a 58 year-old with no D-1, HC experience.

I think the only knock on Silverfield is that he's been a MN protege and now he has to step out of the shadows.

The other thing is that the administration HAD to have known this was coming, so hopefully they were prepared with a list of names to interview.

If they didn't and they just defaulted to Ryan, that would be bad.

Here's the issue I have with Silverfield:

In January 2019, CMN had to hire an new OC. At that point, Silverfield had been with CMN for 3 seasons in Memphis (and I think 1-2 seasons with CMN at ASU). Yet, CMN hired Kevin Johns to fill the OC position and didn't elevate Silverfield. Maybe Silverfield will be a better HC than potential OC in terms of team motivation, administrative duties, etc..

I would assume there’s a good reason Silverfield is literally the only coach to stay w Norvell all 4 years...I think he’ll do a great job. Hope he gets the job.
