I was at the game. Really had a great time and I give Memphis props for keeping close for most of the game and the number of fans they brought to DFW.

This is the first time I root against a G5 school in the BCS/NY6 Bowl.

Penn State!

Yes, kudos are in order to Memphis for keeping it close as almost all your coaching staff has or will move on to Florida State. You had a great season regardless of the outcome today.

Ohio State with some stupid penalties. It would be fitting that the sole Big Ten loss would be during the playoff game.

Sadly Ohio State couldn't pull it off tonight. Congratulations to a very good Clemson team.

Best of luck to the rest of the teams of this great conference moving forward in bowl season.

You played well enough to win. I do think the fumble return for the TD should have stood! The refs on the field got it right, the replay is another matter. I thought he had possession and the strip was clean. Your team is a champion in my opinion. Would love to have seen the LSU/OSU game.

Appreciate the kind words! As always, it's just a game, but when you're from Ohio it's more than just a game. You're in Alabama, I know that you know what I mean.

Frank the Tank or any other Illini fans have any thoughts on today's game?

Tough loss, Illinois.

Really nice year and should be able to build on this going into 2020.

Best of luck next year, Fighting Illini!

I wanted to say congratulations to the Minnesota Gophers for an impressive win over my Tigers today. The line play was particularly solid.

And I also wanted to say how appreciative I was for the Sportsmanship shown by Coach Fleck at the end of the competition and how disappointed I was in Saban for not doing the same at the end of the Michigan game. I think this is a lost gesture that many should observe and was impressed with P.J. Fleck for making it.

Very classy, JRsec! Auburn had a great season with an absolute brutal schedule. I'm sure Gopher fans appreciate your comments.

Minnesota punching above their weight class is nice! Too bad it feels like the overall bowl performance has been lackluster.

Wisconsin and Ohio State coulda, woulda, shoulda. Michigan had the wheels fall off. Any one of those games having a different outcome makes the whole narrative feel different. Being 4-4 with one to go isn't what was expected, especially considering the conference went 1-2 in NY6 bowls.

RE: Open Thread - Bowl Games - 2019/20
Congratulations to Michigan State, Iowa, Penn State and Minnesota.

With that said, quite a disappointing bowl season for the conference. Ohio State, Wisconsin and Indiana all had their chances and couldn't finish. Need to be able to complete games, these teams all came up short.

Congratulations, Clemson, Alabama, Tennessee, California and Oregon, all with victories over Big 10 teams.

Looking forward to 2020 and all it has to offer.

RE: Open Thread - Bowl Games - 2019/20
Looks like my 4-4 bowl record prediction was right except I had Minnesota losing to Auburn and Indiana beating Tennessee. I really thought Ohio State would expose Clemson and its weak ACC resume but I was wrong on that one.
