Big difference in rainy and 65 versus rainy and 35 degrees.

Been tracking all morning. I think most of the system will stay east of 29. Deez Nuts forecasts a rain free night in Bridgeforth. Get there if you can.

Maybe at kickoff. But the radar I have seen definitely implies that it is going to rain during this game haha.
EDIT: Still get there if you can.

I’ve been watching the radar too, and it looks this way to me, as well. Seems like the bulk of the storm is swinging east. Not saying there will be no rain, but it may not be nearly as bad as we thought. Guess we’ll know soon enough, one way or another.

Latest radar looks like the first half will be "dry" - although the field will be wet. Best wishes for lots of layers to those of you who are going - many, many more of us will be watching and cheering from indoor venues.

I’ll say this if you’re on the fence about going to the game do it. This whole weather narrative has been overrated in my opinion. Im used to colder weather so this to me is a good fall football day. It’s cool and a very light mist, not the cold freezing rain I expected.

6:10 weather from in front of the bookstore— no rain!! Weather app says rain expected at 10. That would be perfect.

Weather Underground says only 34% chance of drizzle until 10 PM when it jumps to 73%. But, by then you will all be in a nice warm bar somewhere, hoisting them high for the Dukes and another dominating performance.

Don’t those percentages mean that much of the coverage area will experience rain, not the expected chance of rain? Some of the areas will certainly (100%) get rain, and others not. Also explains why when you open the app in pouring down rain it will say something like 34% when it’s 100% without a doubt raining.

Lucked out on the weather tonight. No wind, mostly foggy with some passing mist from time to time and no real rain. Was in the mid 30's but with the lack of wind it really wasn't too bad a night. Just wish more people were able to attend a great game and I am assuming that the bad weather forecasts probably scared a lot away.

I don’t care what the forecast was for tonight, the attendance tonight was a complete embarrassment. I dreaded every zoomed out shot of the completely barren bleachers. If I’m not mistaken, finals ended today and there is a winter graduation tomorrow? This means there was plenty of opportunity to get people in the building before heading home before break, or in the building before tomorrow’s graduation. I just don’t get it. We have an entitled and overrated student fan base.

To be fair to them, most students were done with finals by Thursday. Why stay back to go to a game where the forecast was low 30s and rainy? You have to remember, most casual JMU students don't follow FCS and all that closely like we do. They think "oh Weber State? Not even sure where that is, oh well" - they'd rather go home and be with family.

At the certainty of sounding like an “uphill both ways to school” kind of guy, i remember driving back from New York a few days before spring semesters started Back in 2004-2005ish just for the pleasure of watching those dreadful Dean Keener teams stink up the place. I guess I can’t relate to even the casual fan not sticking out an extra day on a chilly campus before a month back at home to watch a terrific team compete in a great stadium on national tv. It’s just lame to me.

I cannot tell whether you are critical of attendance, and watched on TV, or were there watching on TV from the club room or a suite.

Let’s make this easy. If you watched on TV. Shut up. Done and done.

Yes, I watched on TV from my home 2,100 miles away. Not sure why that precludes me from commenting on the student attendance. This should be the easiest time in our history for the kids to get excited for a game like tonight. Great team, great stadium/fan experience, student body of 22k...pack the place out.

You still should shut up.

You don’t know what the forecast, conditions, etc, were for people who were not 2100 miles away but would have to make a decision to drive in expected icy conditions.

Safety comes before a game.
