In all seriousness, all fanbases are going to have bad apples. I think most people read and hear things to feed their confirmation bias, and eventually that is all they read and hear. We definitely have our fans that do the same thing regarding other fanbases too.

Two years ago my brother and I were making a point to mix it up (socially, that is) with JMU fans that weekend. Went over to Concrete Cowboy on Friday night and spent most of the morning tailgate amongst the JMU crowd and had a great time at both. Obviously can’t be everywhere at once, but every interaction I was in or even observed seemed like both fanbases were having a good time together.

All of the Bison fans I met in person in Frisco were great. Bisonville is another matter. Even when I complimented NDSU, mostly what I received in return was verbal abuse.

I've seen some face palm worthy moments from JMU fans over the decades. Just not on a large scale.

I read Bisonville but don't participate. To be fair they can be really snarky and sometimes vicious to themselves as well, so I wouldn't take it too personally.
