RE: Lending Tree Mobile Bowl Louisiana vs Miami
The replay (which may have been the right call but it's fishy to say the least when the replay official was literally a fired Miami OC), missed delay of game on the last Louisiana field goal, and lack of holding calls (though neither side was called IIRC) didn't make me a happy camper. But that being said you can only get hurt by the refs to the extent you let yourselves be. If we don't sit on the ball before halftime (with ninety seconds left, three timeouts, and the nation's best kicker on our side), squander 1st and Goal at the two, or adjust to the Cajun offense earlier then it could be a moot conversation. Chuck Martin has his decent qualities but he's generally awful at game management, evidenced by the fact we haven't won a single FBS non-conference game since he started in 2014.
Overall I thought we played well enough on both sides to win, going in there wasn't a small chance we'd get blown out so the fact we started well and hung in there makes the loss more frustrating. Cajuns had a great team, kudos to them and congrats on the season. The Louisiana fans I talked to were very friendly, the Mobile locals were extremely accommodating as well. Stadium was a dump but at least that's being addressed.

The head on view of the play showed that it was a fumble. Until I saw that view I thought it wasnt. You guys have a good team and a frosh QB that is going to be one hell of a player.

The Miami ball carrier's body language also told the story as he walked off the field. He knew he fumbled the ball.

Maybe so, but I'm not into mind-reading.

I'm not either, but I noticed the same thing. He didn't argue that he was down.

Mind reading not required in the least. His body language speaks loud and clear.
