Quote:1. UB over Charlotte
IMO, Buffalo has the edge in this matchup. No shocker either way, of course.
Quote:2. Ohio over Nevada
Nevada beat PurDont at home opener. And won @SD-State. But that's about all to brag about except maybe winning @Fresno (4-8) by a TD. They barely beat Weber 19-13, got stomped by Hawaii at home, and got whipped by @Utah-St and @Wyoming... all while ending the season with a loss to UNLV on their own senior night. Up in the air like above, but Ohio's had a down year.
Quote:3. WMU over WKU
WKU is an improving team, on their way up. Yes, they lost to an FCS team in opener -- but beat 9-win UAB & @Southern Miss, along with @FIU who's 6-6 bowl eligible. And Destroyed Arkansas. They lost narrowly to @Marshall and had a respectable game against CUSA Champs FAU. WMU on the other hand is not playing at home. They are NOT good on the road. Good thing is, WKU is not a high-scoring team, so WMU's lack of D on the road won't be too harmful. This game could go either way, but WKU has the edge.
Quote:4. KSU over USU
This one should be easy to pick. However, Utah State started out with some great promise, but ended up not as good as one would have expected. Kent State on the other hand has warmed up. Not a shocker if KSU wins, but they're going to feel alien to this whole "bowl" thing -- so I wouldn't count on it.
Quote:5. CMU over SDSU
CMU is hard to predict -- but understandable with a 1st-year HC. 9W SD-State doesn't have a powerful offense, but it's got a great D. They never lost by more than 6pts. Expect a low-scoring grind-it-out game. Gives CMU a chance to win this, but I think they'll lose.
Quote:6. MIAMI over ULL
Miami is going to be outmatched by 10W ULL. And playing down south. I expect Miami to hang in there to make it respectable, but Miami most likely will lose this one.
Quote:7. EMU over Pitt
EMU will have around the same # of fans at this one. EMU seemed better earlier in the season, that's for sure. But if their starting QB is on-point and they bring their A-game, it'll be a respectable game. But I have to say by default, Pitt has the solid edge in this one.
