I think it will be:
1. L.S.U.
2. O.S.U.
3. Clemson
4. Oklahoma

I think it should be:
1. L.S.U.
2. Clemson
3. Ohio State
4. Oklahoma

The thing is how can we know what Ohio State has? The Big 10's OOC record against the P5 is not great. Ohio State hasn't played a P5 school outside of the Big 10. And in the Big 10 they got both Rutgers and Maryland. Okay so they beat Wisconsin twice. How good are the Badgers really?

There are 2 conferences we simply don't much about, the Big 10 and the ACC. How good is Clemson? History says probably pretty good. Does history say the Big 10 is strong? Not recent history.

Maybe OSU is great, or maybe they are just really good in a what could be a weak conference. I go back to Penn State slipping by a bad Pitt team and the losses the Big 10 field had to PAC schools to start the season.

So I just don't know what Ohio State or Clemson really has except for history and that tells me Clemson will be hard to beat and the Big 10 hasn't had a lot of recent success in the playoffs.

yeah, I agree. of course 2/3 is utterly meaningless- just the color of the uniforms.

Yep. Agree with JR.

Will be:
#1 LSU
#2 Ohio St
#3 Clemson
#4 Oklahoma

Should be:
#1 LSU
#2 Clemson
#3 Ohio St
#4 Oklahoma

Peach Bowl: #1 LSU vs. #4 Oklahoma
Fiesta Bowl: #2 Ohio St vs. #3 Clemson

Once again, the top 4 has been made an easy decision.

JR - not really sure how you can dog the B1G when the SEC has the same lack of OOC wins.

It’s between OSU and LSU. Clemson doesn’t enter the picture

I agree with Jr. that Clemson should be #2, but either way they should play the Buckeyes in the semis. That will be fun, and I believe that Clemson wins that one... again.04-cheers

SEC has 3 quality OOC wins. Big Ten has 1 really(can't really count Cincy much).

The SEC was 9-6 against other P5 schools and had wins over Oregon and Notre Dame. I can't recall a significant P5 win for the Big 10.

Just the 1 of Michigan over Notre Dame. But that's it.

You have to be out of your damn mind to think that Clemson deserves to be above Ohio St!

Clemson played a bunch of ACC weaklings and that conference’s OOC record against the P5 was horrendous. The Big Ten at least went .500 against the P5–the ACC went 4-15 and half those wins belong to Clemson.

Ohio St also didn’t need a failed 2 pt conversion to get past a crap program like UNC. The ACC is pitiful and Clemson is a paper tiger. They are a 10-2 team at best with a Big Ten schedule.

1. Ohio St
2. LSU
3. Clemson

The Big Ten has one of those fancy ND wins too BTW. we also schedule a 9th conference game instead of pounding some poor team like USM for a padded win.

tOSU has the strongest resume. A 27-0 2nd half sealed it.

Vegas favors Clemson over LSU and Ohio State. Interesting side bet: How many more quarters does Clemson hold Ohio State scoreless in the playoffs?

LSU should be at #1. But it wouldn't surprise me at all if the committee leaves Ohio State there. The committee looks at computer rankings, and before this weekend, by my count Ohio State was #1 in 106 of 115 computer ratings listed by Massey. Saturday's games are not going to shift that computer split to even.

RE: Who should be 1 seed
this weekend is the only time the committee watches games together... I think that is a huge part of it.
