Penn St, Mich, a pair of Wisconsin wins, plus Cincinnati makes for a pretty nice resume.

The Buckeyes also have wins over the MAC and C-USA champs, not that it means a whole lot.

If anyone wants to question their lack of an OOC P5 win remember that the Big Ten plays 9 conference games and the P5 game that was originally on the schedule was at home against TCU. Ohio St actually upgraded the quality of opponent by replacing them for the Bearcats.

I dunno 4 top 12 wins beats that IMO. Georgia, Florida, Auburn, and Alabama. And an OOC win that was better in Texas on the road.

Ohio State had 8 wins against teams that had at least 8 wins. LSU had 4. Clemson had 2.

LSU just blew out #4 and Ohio St struggled with #8

LSU has beaten ALL the top teams in the SEC, which also hold a win over the PAC 12 Champ

Auburn's win over Oregon is one of the most significant OOC wins of the season

Rematch wins are IMO always less impressive than beating new highly ranked teams.

Peach Bowl: #1 LSU vs. #4 Oklahoma
Fiesta Bowl: #2 Ohio St vs. #3 Clemson

Once again, the top 4 has been made an easy decision.

Didn't LSU just play in Atlanta? From a fan standpoint it would seem to me to be better if the Peach matched Ohio State and Clemson. And it really doesn't matter which of those two are seeded #2 or #3.

The committee was certainly appreciative that the CCG’s made their jobs so easy.

They've still only announced the top 4! Are they going to drag out their stupid selection show until 11:59 pm to announce the rest of their rankings?

2014 is the only one so far with any significant controversy.

2015 had 1 loss Ohio St. and 1 loss Iowa left out, but Big 10 champ Michigan ST. was in as were SEC and Big 12 champs with 1 loss (Alabama and Oklahoma).

2016 and 2019 have been very cut and dried with all 1 loss P5 conference champs in.

2017 had 1 loss Wisconsin left out after they lost Big 12 ccg to 2 loss Ohio St. for 3 1 loss conference champs and 1 loss Alabama.

2018 had 1 loss Ohio St. left out while 3 unbeatens and 1 loss Oklahoma made the playoffs.

I think selecting two SEC teams was controversial along with selecting a non CCG teams as well. What happened this year with a CCG winner from different conferences is what ESPN wants every year IMO.

A complete team shouldn't have needed a 2nd half to win it though, that was their downfall. OSU hasn't looked as dominant over their past two games. Their best player has been completely shut out and teams are scoring on them. Michigan would have made it a game if they didn't drop so many passes.

Oklahoma is closer to Phoenix than LSU.

As the #1 seed, LSU had its choice of Phoenix or Atlanta, and chose Atlanta, precisely because it knows more of its fans would travel the 500 miles to ATL than the 1,500 miles to Phoenix.

Plus, remember, LSU was also at the Fiesta Bowl just last year, so not as enticing to its fans either.

Yes, bottom line is Ohio State trailed Wisky 21-7 at the half, that is real jeopardy.

Plus, they got some breaks in the second half, like the Wisky punter just fumbling the ball to set up an OSU touchdown, and then Wisky having a first down at the OSU 20 in the 4th quarter and just bungling that possession away as well.

Wisky made a bunch of key second half mistakes, it wasn't all OSU playing better.
