Oddly enough, I was just looking into this today -- the Idaho dome is much less depressing,http://stadiumconnection.com/simages/1198.jpg but anyway, old-school astroturf (that stuff that would tear your skin off) can be rolled in one big piece. The new stuff (that has rubber in it) has to be rolled in 5-yard chunks, so they do it from one sideline to the other.
Not sure how it translates in real life experience, in photos both the Idaho and UNI domes appear to get a lot more sunlight in thru their skylights/windows. Fargodome is more like a sealed off cave. They go dark and amp things up during their intro like a rock concert. As long as you have high crowd energy might be fine. No different than our old/current convo I guess.

Yep. The Fargodump is a ghetto pole barn. Built cheap with the acoustics of a tin can. Just like JMU’s Convo.
