Sugar Bowl or CFP for Oklahoma ... Cotton for valiant Baylor.

Sugar or Cotton or Alamo

Depends on if OU makes playoff and if ranked high enough for Cotton

I know but I am predicting that with Baylor's strong performance today they will be ranked high enough to get the cotton bowl spot even if OU misses the CFP and goes Sugar.

Basically, Baylor played themselves into an NY6 bowl.

We’ll see. OU should be in and therefore the Sugar Bowl is the destination. Easy way to tell if you are right is see if BU outranks who gets picked for the cotton. The next time this playoff committee gives Bu the benefit of the doubt will be the first time this year.

Yes, when I made that statement, I thought Georgia would beat LSU and make the CFP, those sending OU to the Sugar Bowl.

But with OU now surely in the CFP, Baylor is going to the Sugar Bowl, an even better destination than the Cotton Bowl. Much better to match up vs a top SEC team - probably Georgia but possibly Florida - than get stuck with the G5 rep in the Cotton.

Congratulations to Baylor!

04-cheers
