Yeah. Clemson likely wins comfortably, but they are likely out with a loss. Maybe Oregon gets in. Possibly Penn St. or Florida. Or Ohio St. and Wisconsin if Wisconsin wins. Clemson just doesn't hasn't had any good opponents so they have no good wins. They've only played 4 FCS teams with winning records-Charlotte, A&M and Louisville were 7-5 and Wake Forest 8-4.

Hard to see a scenario where LSU and Ohio St. don't make the top 4. Perhaps if they both lose badly (like 59-0) and Clemson wins. Then Clemson, UGA and OU/Baylor are in. They are battling Wisconsin for the final spot.

I think if Wisconsin wins they have a really surprisingly decent shot to make the playoff. If LSU and Baylor wins- I think Wisconsin could easily crack the playoff as the 4 seed.

I made that comment last week. They set them up for that moving them to #8. Another opportunity to keep Baylor out and put a name school in.

The playoff seems pretty cut and dry this year actually. The OU-Baylor winner is in provided LSU wins

The odds of Clemson and Ohio State losing are slim to none

I don't think anyone is guaranteed a playoff spot yet.

Clemson loses, they are out.

LSU or Ohio State get blown out, and they are out.

Now are any of those things likely to happen? Hell no. But they could so it's all still to be decided.

I think LSU and Ohio State could lose by a bunch and still breathe easy. They just don’t get the favored seeding. Their losses are still going to look better than any of the one-loss teams.

Now, suppose Georgia gets by LSU, Oklahoma thumps Baylor, Ohio State does what it needs to, but Clemson barely escapes Virginia, like it did with UNC...Clemson still gets the love?

I don't see Wisconsin as a #8 team. But then the CFP does and that is what matters. The CFP has a bias towards teams with good defenses.

They have a much higher opinion of the Big 10 this year than I do. Ohio St. is very good. Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota and Penn St. are a lot better than anyone challenging Clemson or Oregon and Utah. But they wouldn't have nearly as gaudy a record in the SEC or Big 12.
