Lots of media reports saying the FSU search is down to four candidates: Matt Campbell, Mike Norvell, James Franklin, and Brian Kelly. I don't see Franklin or Kelly leaving their current schools. It looks like it'll be Campbell or Norvell. What are you hearing Memphis fans? Is Norvell gone? FSU presser after the champ game?

Most people *think* he will be leaving. He wont announce until after the Championship game.

Currently he is a candidate for FSU, Arky, Mizzou, and Ole Piss. FSU is obviously the best of the bunch, and does worry me a bit. But he has done a great job, and I wont fault him for looking on to bigger and better things.

I don't want to be in NY6 bowl without a head coach. Hopefully he pulls a Scott Frost. He will be successful there though.

FSU is definitely the best of the bunch among the schools listed above and the only one that has a reasonable chance of winning their division anytime soon, IMHO.

He isnt going to Ole Miss or Arkansas. Mizzou is unlikely. If FSU offers then he is gone(as he should be).

Norvell isn't taking any interviews till after the AAC Championship. He's lost this thing twice, he's got to be locked in and blocking out all the outside noise.

To me, FSU is the best job out there this coaching carousel. I guess we are still in wait and see mode for USC, conflicting reports out there.

I think Norvell is the top candidate nationwide. FSU will offer and he'll likely take it.

If FSU offers, he's gone. I wouldn't blame him. I can't get a real handle on if he is their guy, or not. I agree it's likely him or Campbell.

The other job possibilities for Norvell, I'm not convinced he would take. We have a lot coming back, and MN has mentioned privately that he thinks we will be better next year, so he can afford to sit and wait on an FSU-like job next time around.

IMO, Arky and Ole Miss are dead end jobs in the SEC West. Missouri, I think he would take, but they seem to be going in a different direction.

Yeah, Fredonia State will be an upward move for him.

That can't be true, I was told by multiple people that Bob Stoops was a done deal.

I wouldn't touch FSU with a 10 foot pole. President and AD will both likely turn over within 2 years. New people will likely want their own person in there.

FSU job is a must take. The acc is the weakest p5 conference and could win there fairly quick. It’s a potential national championship caliber job. He would have all the resources needed; recruiting, money, fan base; facilities. Obviously I don’t want him to leave, but he’s gotta take that job!

He should go. Easier conference to win. He ain't won the big game at Menphis. Its time for a change

There is smoke to this rumor in Florida.

Actually in my opinion, the ACC is a significantly easier conference to win than the AAC. The western division of the AAC could compete with either division of the ACC (top to bottom) and we have seen how good the East is. With the talent they have in Florida, they would have to go head-to-head with Dabo and then its clear sailing.

And Arkansas. And Missouri. And every other opening, lol. He has already turned down a lot of job offers over the years. He can afford to be picky. Especially with Memphis returning most of its two deep roster next year.

I have heard that Franklin used FSU for a raise and that Norvell may be the guy they want now
