Temple. Can’t have two players who can’t hit three’s both starting. One has to go to the bench.

Since Rose takes Temple most shots and shoots but 42 percent on 2’s, and 24 percent on 3’s, he’s my nominee for the bench. Then watch Temple roll. While it ever happen? No.

I believe I read on the yard last night we have more turnovers than assists on the season, I haven't fact checked that but it wouldn't surprise me. We've also had multiple games where it looked like our best players were reserves, but lately the bench hasn't been nearly as good. Getting more consistent minutes out of guys like Adams, Bouknight and Gafney will make our team much more formidable.

Obviously getting Vital and Gilbert to actually take and make good shots would be huge for us as well.

If we can do all of these things, we have a chance to beat Nova and have a nice run through conference play, which should make us an at large bid. Do none of them, and we'll be staring at an NIT bid.

It is true. UConn's assist to turnover ratio is 0.9. https://uconnhuskies.com/sports/mens-bas...s/2019/pdf

Thanks for looking that up.

We have 2 guards with a positive assist to turnover ratio: one is a freshman that is only 8ast/7to on the year, the other is only shooting 28% on the season through 10 games. Pathetic. The fact we've got a couple decent wins and were close to a couple more speaks volumes to how much better we have been on defense.

SMU could benefit from a new coach.

Trouble in Jankistan.

USF may be an interesting program to follow, given the way they have turned their fortunes around with a number of wins after losing Yetna, their top player.

The Bulls came within 2 pts of beating 11-2 (#47 NET; #38 Massey Composite) Utah State in their most recent game, demonstrating that they're now capable of beating top 50 teams on their home court.

Prior to Yetna's injury, the preseason ESPN and CBS bracketologies projected USF as a NCAA bubble team (last 8 in or first 8 out), due in part to the fact that most of USF's 2018-19 rotation which won the 2019 CBI tournament returned to play in 2019-20.

If those projections were even remotely accurate, USF may have the talent and athleticism to be more competitive than many have come to expect.

Jan 12 vs. USF. His last game missed will be at Wichita.

It was just announced that he isn't coming back at all now. At least Memphis has proven they can win without him.

Yeah, our biggest adjustment now is continuing to improve without Wiseman, and with Q returning after his injury, which should be soon.

Our team needs to get healthy (you saw what we can do when we've got all our guys at least at 75% health) and Jarron needs to start hitting shots. If he shoots at his career averages all season we're 10-1 at the moment, with our only loss being at a Top 20 team.
