Placing second is like watching your school go 11-1 in regular season and then losing the MAC title game...

Tied for 4th is what I get for picking Kent to win every week.

Woof. If only the title game mattered, but I'd assume CMU would be the hot choice.

Is everyone satisfied with how things were done this year? My biggest issue was with how the Game of the Week was chosen. Typically I would check vegasinsider.com on Monday to check the lines for the week. From there, whichever game had the smallest spread would be the GOTW. This worked out pretty well except when...

• Sometimes the lines would change throughout the week; This led to a few occurrences where the chosen GOTW was no longer the smallest spread.
• During the latter half of the season with Tuesday night MACtion games, lines weren't out when I was posting the thread on Friday. In this case, I would rely on the ESPN Football Power Index ratings to assign the GOTW.
• Sometimes the closest spread produced a GOTW that wouldn't be classified as a marquee event by most posters. For example in Week 2, it was Kennesaw State @ Kent State rather than Ohio @ Pitt.
  

A potential solution could be that we just put the Game of the Week to a vote via a poll included in the previous week's thread. The problem I foresee here is that it seems like MAC teams are up and down on any given week.

For instance, it's Week 4 of next year and we're voting on the GOTW for Week 5. It's looking like Team A @ Team B next week is going to be the most competitive out of the games for Week 5. Then Team A gets blown out by Team C in Week 4 after we had all voted. Team A @ Team B no longer looks so appealing.

Anyway, that's just my thoughts. I'm open for any input on whether we should just keep the rules the same or try something new.

I haven’t had much time to jump on this week, but this was nice to see haha. No need for a trophy. My wife wouldn’t let me display it in the fashion it deserves anyway... ?

It was fun competing against everyone and I look forward to next year.
