Exclamation SBC Championship TV/Time
The game will be at 12pm ET on ESPN, once again coming on immediately after ESPN's College GameDay.

I think it's awesome that the Sun Belt again has that noon slot after GameDay.

The MAC was given the same time slot, but on ESPN2... which I think says a lot. And of course CUSA is over on CBS Sports Network where they won't get as many viewers.

Noon AAC - Root for Cincinnati, but only by a slim margin and an ugly game by both teams
Noon Sun Belt - Root for App by 35
Noon MAC - No impact
1:30 C-USA - No impact
4:00 PM - MWC Hawaii or, if Boise State wins, make it come down to a final kick or something

These things happen, all Sun Belt teams may get a pretty substantial pay bump.

Also, if these things happen, pray Alabama isn't put in the Cotton Bowl. Even without Tua, their wide receivers could be starting in the NFL right now for almost any team.

Three G5 conferences going head-to-head. The Sun Belt will surely get more viewers than the MAC but can the SBC get more viewers than the AAC.

I fudged. The AAC game isn't until 3:30 pm

The Sun Belt might get higher ratings than all the other G5s.

Definitely more than the MAC and CUSA. While AAC and MWC are up against the SEC championship game at the same time.

No. However the game isn't until 3:30 for the AAC so that should help. I suppose this is as close to a playoff as we can have right now. Will probably have more viewers than MAC based on network and the MWC though.

CBSSN doesn't participate in the Neilson ratings. So we'll officially never know if the SBCCG beats the CUSACCG but we all know the answer.

Their NFL Network games only had two games even get enough viewers to release.

UTSA vs Army - 142k
FIU vs. Middle Tenn - 25k (yes, 25k)

It would have been nice to see how the SBC viewership compares in direct competition to the AAC but it will still be interesting to see how the ratings end up.

Just looking at every conference by network:

ABC - PAC 12, Big 12, AAC, ACC
Fox - Big 10
CBS - SEC

ESPN - Sun Belt, Mountain West
ESPN2 - MAC

CBSSports - CUSA

C-USA really messed up. CBSSN for the conference title game? Ouch!

Guys, let's not forget ESPN bumped us up to the flagship for this one. ESPN College Gameday leads in to OUR game.

This is very, very big.

Considering last year's SBC Championship between the same schools had 900K viewers, it's possible we could have over 1-million viewers because of the intrigue of a nationally ranked App State vs. a 10-2 Louisiana.

If it happens, that will be BIG. It'd be the first ever Sun Belt matchup in history to have over 1-mil viewers.
