None of this is "final" of course, as the bowl games are still to be played.

RE: Final Power 5 OOC records
These really depend on what schools a teams played. A win over Arkansas is a win over a power school but it is not equal to a win over Alabama. Likewise, on the non-power front, a win over Cincinnati is not equal to a win over Akron. It definitely varies. A better-ish (but still incomplete) comparison would be record against:

a) bowl eligible power schools (including Missouri)
b) bowl ineligible power schools (excluding Missouri)
c) bowl eligible non-power schools
d) bowl ineligible non-power schools, and outcomes
e) FCS schools

The ACC needs an asterisk by their P5 record. They went 1-1 against themselves in OOC play due to the UNC-WF game.

It is way past time to do away with the regular season FCS vs FBS games. They are a joke.

Create a preseason in August where FBS schools can schedule 1 preseason game against an FCS over a 2 week period. Starting Labor Day weekend they need to play 12 FBS opponents.

There is zero reason to play a preseason game. Even in the NFL, the preseason is a joke and mainly using players trying to make the team.

Fans, Players, etc hate them.

Either don't count them towards bowl eligibility at all, or just accept them as what they are - a way for FBS teams to get another home game, and a win for the team/coaching in most cases, and a way for FCS schools to make some money.

RE: Final Power 5 OOC records
How in the world did the ACC and SEC play 15 FCS games?? There are only 14 teams in each conference.

It's bad enough that every single team scheduled 1 FCS team, but there was actually 1 in each conference that scheduled 2 FCS teams? That's just plain pathetic.

Va Tech and Florida are the guilty parties.

Va Tech had a big dispute with ECU going back to a hurricane cancellation last year. They cancelled this years game out of spite and scheduled a second FCS.

Can't really remember what the deal was with UF, but to their credit they did play 10 P5 games at least

RE: Final Power 5 OOC records
I’m not saying the ACC did well, but including Notre Dame is odd since they are required to schedule 5 ACC games a year as a partial member. So they went 5-10 against P5 and 0-5 against Notre Dame.

The ACC and SEC obviously schedule much tougher than the other conferences.

RE: Final Power 5 OOC records
As for FCS games, I would like to see a requirement where they need to be played before October. Playing an FCS in November is a JOKE!

The only way they should turn them into an August exhibition is if the playoff expands to 16 and the season goes back to 11 games.

I don't get it. If you are saying no more FCS I could understand your point, but what's the difference in between playing an FCS school in September vs. playing them in November?

Sagarin's ratings are such a joke. The top FCS team should be around 100 and only the top 10 or so FCS teams are good enough to be ranked above the bottom FBS teams.

There isn't one

Some schools in some conferences traditionally played most of their rivals late in the season and just don't like the idea of people doing anything different, while other schools spread them around more and it isn't a big deal

South Carolina/Clemson for example traditionally played the weekend before thanksgiving and either had a bye the Saturday after or played a random non conference game. With the changes in the schedule those games got moved back a week and it created an opening the weekend before, which became hard to fill. So Alabama, Auburn, SC, Clemson, UF, FSU, and a bunch of other teams starting either taking a bye week then or scheduling FCS games.

I suppose I’m just thinking of it from a fan’s POV. I hate those mop-up games deep into the season. At least make it a team that has equal scholarships. If Alabama wants to play UNCC before LSU or Auburn, fine, but Western Carolina?! C’mon man!

Alabama has been punished in the polls for their OOC schedule sitting at #12 with more NFL talent than even Ohio State.
