RE: The AAC Champ should go to Cotton Bowl
Can I play?
When the committee refers to strength of schedule, they most often frame it as "quality wins."
Comparison between Boise State and a two loss Cincinnati:
Resumes:
Rankings of opponent for each team's wins. (CFP where in, otherwise Massey Composite from last week's results, with 117 rankings compiled)
Boise: #29,49,57,58,59,63,108,111,120,122,FCS
Cincy: #18,26,48,63,69,72,83,86,91,112,125
Cincinnati's wins clearly better at the top. A wash or slight advantage for Boise in the middle, but the bottom of the mwc makes Boise's resume look bad. I didn't double up for #57 rematch in CCG).
Losses:
Boise to #45
Cincinnati to #1 and #18, with #18 being avenged in the CCG.
Boise and Cincinnati have a common opponent.
Boise eked by Marshall on their blue home turf 14-7; Cincinnati blew out Marshall in Huntington 52-14
If the committee does what they say in comparing records it should be Cincinnati.
