Honestly we can thank Aresco for bringing it to the attention of the committee and putting them on blast to the media. They picked up on it and had a -oh Sh--t moment when they got exposed.
truth is that they don't pay attention to the G5 teams and will go with wins/losses or any type of name when they dish out the rankings.
and when Aresco put them on blast and put out facts of the strength the AAC has they had to correct themselves. if he didn't do that they would have no doubt left the bearcats on the very bottom of the rankings or out altogether.
putting them right behind boise is their way of making things right and to make it look like they were paying attention the whole time.
glad aresco is a smart man and looking out for us.

6. AAC - 58.4
7. MWC - 72.9

AAC had more than the MWC...and the ACC.
Current Massey with 107 reporting has us .22 behind the ACC.
We are almost equal distance between the 1) Big Xii <15.73> as 7) MWC <16.15>
And that is with UCONN in the data mix. Imagine...

Without UConn, the AAC jumps up an average of 6 points, easily takes the overall 5th spot from the ACC and is actually closer to 2nd than to 6th.

RE: The AAC Champ should go to Cotton Bowl
As soon as the AAC signed the new longterm media deal with ESPN nearly all of their talking heads started singing our praises. If the MWC caves in and gives ESPN what they want I can see the committee keeping Boise ahead of Cincy if both of them win their CCG. If they don't sign up before the committee meets again the AAC champ is a lock for the NY6.
Never forget that the 4 letter destroyed BE football just because of the media negotiation fallures. Keeping Boise out of the Cotton is nothing compared to that.
