Temple 65, A&M 42

1) The Owls played a great defensive game on the perimeter and in the interior, holding the Aggies to only 42 points, with an overall FG% of 0.224 (FG3%: 0.182).

--At this point in the season, Temple has held their opponents to fewer than 60 ppg, on average.

2) While Temple scored only 65 points in the game, the Owls shot the ball well, hitting 52% of their 2 pt shots and 37% of their 3 point shots.

3) Temple out-rebounded their opponent (38-33) for the fourth game in a row.

--Temple has sustained a positive rebounding margin for the season to date.

4) The Owls won the game despite making a total of only 11 assists (0 by their starting PG) and an overall 0.92 assist to turnover ratio.

5) Temple's four top guards in this game led the team to victory, scoring 53 (81.5%) of the team's 65 points.

Strongest performances:

Q Rose led the team with 19 pts, 6 rb, 4 ast, 1 blk, & 2 stl in 35 minutes, hitting 4 of 9 2 pt shots and 2/5 (40%) of his 3 pt shots (0.91 positive stats per minute). He also hit 5 (83%) of 6 FTs and had 0 turnovers.

--Although Rose had a slow start in games 1-3, his play has improved significantly in the past few games.

NPL had 8 pts, 7 rb, 2 ast, & 2 stl in 24 minutes (0.79 positive stats per minute).

Monty Scott scored 11 pts, hitting 2 (50%) of his 4 3 pt shots, and added 3 rb and 1 ast in 21 minutes (0.71 positive stats per minute).

--Scott's play, and particularly his offensive performance, has improved noticeably in the past two games. If this trend continues, Temple's prospects may improve considerably.

Alani Moore took 9 shots and scored 14 pts, hitting 44.4% of his 3 pt shots, and added 2 rb, 2 steals and 1 blk in 34 minutes.

Forrester grabbed 7 rebounds and added 1 ast & 1 blk in 19 minutes.

--Forrester has become an impact player in his first two games, and has helped to compensate for the poor play of Hamilton in the two games, as well as the unavailability of Damion Moore due to his back injury.

Moorman scored 5 pts, grabbed 7 rb, and made 3 ast in 27 minutes.

Dre Perry had 3 pts and 3 rb in 13 min.

Arashma Parks scored 2 pts and added 3 rbs in 11 min.
