But thanks and our guys made mistakes that cost them playing time and we did not win at Marshall or UAB so we don't deserve to play for the championship this year.

You got lucky, and you know it. Even with LA Tech using a QB2 that had never taken more than a few snaps before this UAB game, this game was still there for the taking late. It literally took a dropped pass by a wide open LA Tech receiver (on the post pattern) with about 2 min to play to secure the win for UAB. If the ordinarily sure handed Tech receiver doesn't drop that pass, Tech is in the CCG instead of UAB. It was THAT close this year.

But it could happen to you next year. And probably will at some point. That's how it usually works.

If they can beat us a few more years they can actually even up the all time series too classy bunch there
