ABSOLUTELY!

You catch those passes and you develop a positive rhythm and more completions follow. These receivers are making it very hard on Des.

The one time Denbrock should have been conservative with 1st and goal at the six, he goes stupid. Should have had jumbo package/push 3 times or Wild Bearcat with Doaks or Warren.

Agree with you on this one. But not wildcat. Run the WR fake toss and run off tackle.

Fickel's livelihood is tied to his roster decisions. How many others on this board can say the same thing?

Can we please move on? 10-1. Enjoy the ride. Doesn't happen all that often.

It's not about the stats. Watching the games UC has been winning in spite of ridder. This wasn't always the case. He has always been a below average starting qb doing just enough but he wasn't hurting them. Our passing game is now nonexistent. We won because the defense was great. Temple gave us three points by catching a punt with the knee down and we blocked a pat / ran it back for a touchdown (2 points). Did we throw a single pass on the td drive? Cudos to Warren and the line for putting that drive together against a d that knew it could sell out for run every play. It's awesome that this team has found ways to win while getting pathetic efforts from the qb position the last month but that's a dangerous proposition to depend on.

Um...this thread is titled QB stats. That is what I was referring to. Stats do not automatically = wins.

And... I'll reiterate. Enjoy the ride. It doesn't happen that often. And it's a whole lot more fun than bashing a kid representing the red and black.

We are enjoying the ride but many of us think the team could be playing much better by getting more production from QB than they are.

I'm thrilled. Was at the tailgate around 215, stayed to celebrate and sing the alma matter. It's been awesome watching UC compete for a conference championship again. Another unbeaten season at nippert. Still unbeaten in an aac that's having its best year ever. But qb play has been a huge issue that needs fixed

I think we’re all enjoying this special year. They don’t come around often and that’s why it’s imperative to get better play out of the QB position. It could me the difference between a great season and a program defining season.

RE: QB Stats last 2 games
The frustrating part to alot of us, is the fact Bryant has yet to even get a look in meaningful minutes. We keep hearing how BB has a laser arm, and are watching Ridder put up single digit QBR performances. Even if BB finally gets a shot next week or in the coming weeks, he never had an opportunity to get a few series in. It is hard to watch the coaches be so hard headed about this, and now we seem to be walking into a buzz saw next week in Memphis, who just put up over 500 yards of offense.

Fickell said Des felt much better this Sunday than he did last Sunday. Unless he's putting out mis-information then Des is going to be healthy enough to go.

I hope they rested Des and gave Bryant some reps this week, both to take care of Desmond's injury and get Bryant prepared in case he's needed.

RE: QB Stats last 2 games
At this point, the most importantant stat is getting the win. It's in Ridder's hands as it has been all year. I look for him to run quite a bit on Friday but he's going to have to make enough plays in the passing game to keep Memphis guessing. Look for Tre Tucker to get more touches to compliment Thunder I and Thunder II. Deguara has been quiet the last two games. He's due for a big one.

Glad to hear he is feeling better, but still would like to see Bryant play

Don't know if it's true, but I'm hearing Bryant is getting the start tomorrow. I guess we'll find out.

It’s the right time. We’re playing for the conference championship no matter what happens tomorrow. Rest him.
