Yes, I'm very sure. It's been refreshing to see the number of bandwagoners diminish this season as soon as it was clear you weren't winning another title.

I greatly look forward to the tide turning (it always does) and seeing some of you guys get a taste of humility. Sadly, I also know USF fans will also gather some bandwagoners of our own. Our universities really aren't that different from one another. Same goes with our fan bases. I'm able to admit it. I don't think many of your fans are...

Funny thing is.. Ive got a rep for being a complete A hole but when they went 0-12, I was actually really nice since we were coming off of The Holtz Error.

The USF vs UCF rivalry is a tale as old as time. While both schools were upstarts in the state, South Florida got the unique opportunity of being in a AQ conference through virtually no merit. While USF blew their opportunity to accomplish anything, UCF grew their fanbase organically and developed traditions. When rumors of expansion of the Big East occurred, USF was the largest proponent of shunning UCF. Fast forward to the AAC days and UCF is everything Southern Florida has dreamed of. Conference Champions, NY6 Bowls, College Gameday, sold out stadiums, etc.

Looking forward to the game tonight!

UCF moved up to I-A in 1996 and usf started their program in I-AA in 1997 and moved up to I-A football in 2001.

Maybe since UCF didn't take any shortcuts helped them build a program up the right way with a much more solid foundation (facilities...including Indoor Practice Facility, On-Campus Stadium, etc...) vs another program that wanted almost instant gratification that are still waiting for their first ever division title...let alone conf title?

That loss cost us another AAC title.

The link you posted is to what is know as the "consensus" national champion (in the CFP era it's the invitational winner), whereas the official record book lists all national championship claims that meet criteria the NCAA recognizes (i.e. a major selector named the team #1).
