I don't think there's anybody who will ever reach the status of Lee Roy Selmon, though personally I think Paul Griffin should be considered #1. Unfortunately, Griffin was undone by political correctness run amok and was forced to take the fall for something a coach did. There's a reason why the athletic center has Lee Roy Selmon's name on it. It would take something extraordinary for Kelly to crack that top 2.
That said, I think we can all agree that Doug Woolard is the worst AD this university ever had.

vs. Memphis - 45 yards
vs. Cincinnati - 267 yards
vs. Temple - 225 yards
@ ECU - 102 yards
@ Navy - 50 yards
vs. BYU - 72 yards
@ UConn - 157 yards
vs. SMU - 66 yards
vs. South Carolina State - 217 yards
We're starving for any kind of an offensive pulse. We all expect that we're going to lose today (which, despite your attempts at using all of the qualifiers, would STILL show you have a losing record to us), so anything that portends promise for a way out of the hell that is our football situation would be a good thing as far as I'm concerned.
And if it forces Kelly's hand to get us out from under Strong, you'll have done us a favor. I'd happily settle for losing the battle if we ultimately win the war.

Weird...I searched usf football history and didn't see any Division III or Division II play.
Did you know that UCF was the first team ever to play in (let alone win) a BCS/NYD6 Bowl that that had participated in all 4 main NCAA Divisions? (Div III, Div II, Div I-AA and Div I-A)
UCF moved up to I-A in 1996 and usf started their program in I-AA in 1997 and moved up to I-A football in 2001.
Maybe since UCF didn't take any shortcuts helped them build a program up the right way with a much more solid foundation (facilities...including Indoor Practice Facility, On-Campus Stadium, etc...) vs another program that wanted almost instant gratification that are still waiting for their first ever division title...let alone conf title?

McClouds hand is still banged up. His thumb is screwed. I hope we use a combo of him and Jenkins. Our best chance is to be VERY mobile, throw RPO at them and change, change, change... Randy Shannon has that defense dialed in and we cant throw at them the same offense weve been failing with all year.
UCF loves to blitz, so we have to find a way to use that aggression against them... if we dont make those adjustments and adapt, it could be a long day.
If we lose but it justifies firing strong, then I am fine with it. There are going to be some great coaches and coordinators available and we need to move on from this mess.

I know usf has had musical chairs at QB this season...but UCF Fans have seen this play before where some unknown player/qb seems to have a career day against UCF as a then true Freshmen Mike White lead a big underdog usf team to a late game lead in 2013 before UCF scored late for the narrow win.
Strange things happen in rivalry games...and its usually because the underdog team plays really, really well.
And once again, the UCF fan base has firmly established their status as being the #1 school with little man syndrome. I have never seen anybody in such great desire of having everybody acknowledge them every single day. Nobody has EVER had to overcome such adversity to have achieved so much.

Just like how usf fans today mention how being in AAC is a disadvantage compared to those teams/conferences of the P5's, It was usf fans who bragged about being in the Big East and in a BCS Conf while UCF was in CUSA so yeah...its interesting to see how each program has performed once they were on the same level since 2013 (i.e. conference mates).
Whats next? Memphis bragging about their only football win over UCF in their program history back when UCF moved up from Division II to Division I-AA?
No...most only look at what UCF and Memphis have done while they have been conf members and since 2005, when UCF and Memphis were in the same conf and at the same level...UCF is now 13-0 vs Memphis Football.

Oh, I'm sure. If it was just celebrating "conf titles and BCS/NYD6 Bowls and victories" I don't think you'd have so many fans (and not just USF fans, mind you) calling you out on it. It's stuff like the whole "we're the only ones to make our way up through Division III, II..." stuff, or posting about your precious lazy river in threads that don't even warrant it. It's actually inserting yourselves in many USF threads for no reason other than to say "look at us!"
Yes, I'm very sure. It's been refreshing to see the number of bandwagoners diminish this season as soon as it was clear you weren't winning another title.
I greatly look forward to the tide turning (it always does) and seeing some of you guys get a taste of humility. Sadly, I also know USF fans will also gather some bandwagoners of our own. Our universities really aren't that different from one another. Same goes with our fan bases. I'm able to admit it. I don't think many of your fans are...
