RE: New bowl game coming soon
The BBQ Bowl is still in vaporware mode at the moment.
MBB, Cure, and Camellia are great for the eastern teams. All will be bowl pool games so the opponents won't always be low level MAC/CUSA teams.
The Sun Belt is an oddity almost moving forward as we have two bowls that will still be contracted with the conference; New Orleans Bowl and the Mobile Bowl (still looking to see how long the LendingTree name is associated with the bowl).

I don't think Charleston has a stadium that would work for bowl game.

Since El Cid decided to push down their 21k stadium to only hold 12-15k there's no way a bowl will be placed there. That's why Myrtle is happening.

It's a shame that's the case. Charleston is an incredible city for those who haven't been and would make a great destination for a bowl game. I'd also throw out Asheville NC as a good site, but that's obviously not possible with there being no stadium, lol.

The military decided to make me a Charleston resident for 6 months. Those were some of the best months of my life. If it weren't for family obligations, I'd have become a permanent resident years ago.
Best people you could ever meet and they take it personally to strive for, often WIN and proudly represent themselves as "America's Friendliest City". No such thing as a stranger in Charleston unless you prefer to be.
