RE: Gulf Coast Showcase
This by FAR the most frustrating game this NU has played all season.

Should be up double digits on this team and once again the most dumb and confusing turnovers is keeping them in the game.

I can't believe I forgot this game was on. What have they said about Walker?

Agree, I haven't been able to watch the games and know nothing about the Walker injury. What happened? What kind of injury? Apparently it looks like he tried to play but left the game very early.

What an absolute disaster of a game. 19 turnovers and we take a 2 at the buzzer down by 3 following a timeout. This team is in a really bad state right now

Bizarre, I thought it had to be a mistake on the box score. 2 point shot down by 3 with 1 second left?

I have no idea what he was thinking.

He was in foul trouble early and he was getting pushed around by Max when he was in the game. He was Ryan Pierson soft. Non-factor.

Walker got hurt yesterday slipping on the wet floor apparently. He started today, got 2 quick fouls and Coen sat him the rest of the game. He may still be sore from yesterday I don't know.

What I do know is committing 19 turnovers against a weak Drake team is embarrassing. I don't know if the early start times are affecting this team but they've sleepwalked theses two games.

But guess what? They play at 11 am again Wednesday, so they better get it together.

Hope Walker can get right because it's clear without him this has no rhythm whatsoever.

The one positive again today was the play of Eboigboden.

Just watched the replay of the first ten minutes. Tyson seemed to be moving okay but the team was down. Coach took him out after five minutes and went bigger with Max. They played better and even went ahead. Maybe Tyson's ankle flared up.

RE: Gulf Coast Showcase
NU finally got a win down in Estero, FL beating Weber State 79-69. NU was in control the whole game.

Roland led all scorers with 24 points. Eboigboden with another solid game with 13 pts, 5 rbs.

Walker played today as well (8 pts. 5 ast.).

Finishing 7th place in this tourney is kind of embarrassing IMO. Still committed 19 turnovers, so obviously improvements still need to be made.

Back home Wednesday night vs Maine.

RE: Gulf Coast Showcase
It was a disappointing week. The turnovers are really awful as we had 19 more today. Glad we got at least 1 win and Ty returned to the lineup. 2 at home (Maine/Davidson) and then 2 in Michigan before CAA play comes calling

RE: Gulf Coast Showcase
Yeah, Weber's lousy defense helped us today so the turnovers didn't hurt us like in games one and two. Almost all our threes were uncontested but we need to get this turnover thing cleaned up before conference play. We should have beaten Drake....but when you have sixty-four possessions and in thirty percent of those possessions you don't even get off a shot you are killing yourself. Can we start with stopping those unnecessary behind the back passes?

That would be Shaq Walters who does it all the time and rarely is it successful. 03-banghead

Yeah. I thought for sure that when he did it again yesterday and Coen immediately called a time out it was to take him out of the game....and I was shocked when he stayed in.
