every year and we play Florida in Jacksonville every year. That's a loss of 2 home games every other year. Florida plays FSU every year and plays us in Jacksonville every year. That's a loss of 2 home games every other year for them.

We ain't going back to Columbia in the damn month of September - never again.

We used to play them in October - there was a reason for that. It was not hot as hell.

From 1900 to 1964 State and VT played 49 games.
From 1989 to 2019 we have played just 9 games and one of those a Peach Bowl

From 1924 until 2003 State and Duke played 80 games.
From 2003 forward we have played just three games.

From 1904 until 2007 State and UVa had played 55 games.
From 2007 until 2019 we have played just 3 games.

The recruiting hotbeds in the ACC footprint are in order: Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia/DC, SC, Kentucky, NY, and Massachusetts.

Coastal schools are shut out so to speak only in Mass, NY, KY, and SC - tiny amounts of recruits in these states. (SC only because it is so small)
Atlantic schools are shut out of Georgia, Pa, Virginia/DC - it's a monstrous recruiting disadvantage.

Divisionless allows fairer bi-annual access to an area, allows for historic rivalries to flourish again, and adds variety to what has become a stale set of division opponents.

NC State fans pine away for the days when we played OOC games at Penn State, Michigan State, Nebraska, Georgia, and Auburn, but that's not going to happen when you have Clemson, FSU, and Wake Forest and UNC every year.

1. Are you a former resident of the state of Pennsylvania??

2. Do you recall any NC State football games involving Pac12 teams??

RE: Two questions for Statefan
No I live in NC.

We played at Arizona State in 1975 and in the late 1960's IIRC.
We played at UCLA in 1958 and 1960 of there abouts.

No return on these games.

We played Arizona in the Copper Bowl back in the late 1980's and ASU in the Sun bowl back in 2017.

PSU lowered itself to play us 2 for 1 and most of the games were the games of the year for us.

Riddick Stadium was a matchstick box compared to Kenan and Wallace Wade, even back in the 1930's. Without a real stadium we played a lot of games away and often played teams like VT or UVa at "neutral" sites in Richmond or in Hampton Roads.

NC State has no multi generational wealth to tap like ND, Pitt, UVa, BC, Duke, and UNC. Without a dental, medical, pharmacy, or business school that avenue to wealthy alums is not in the cards for NC State. Unlike Clemson who puts their eggs in one basket and pushes that basket, NC State attempts to fund football and basketball but we do not control our own facilities. We lose CF to the NC State fair for two weekends in October, we lose the Basketball arena to the Carolina Hurricanes from time to time.

The issue of how far you can take the equipment before flying it is an issue and since NC State is tight with money you can see how playing west of Lubbock just does not happen. More importantly if you **** up the tail gate the AD never hears the end of it. Bad tailgating at BC, Syracuse, and UNC are all problems for the fans.

GT always got a pass because the Varsity is just across the highway.

UVa, VT, WF, Clemson, FSU, and Miami are good tailgates. Outside the league, UGA, Auburn, Florida, PSU, and the absolute grand daddy - Ole Miss (double damn).

I would love to play UCLA, Washington State, Utah, Colorado, Oregon State, as well as PSU, MSU, Minnesotta, Texas, TAMU, Bama, Auburn, TN, and KY.

We only seat 60K. We can't provide enough seating space for Bama, PSU, TN, Auburn, UGa, etc., because we will sell all those tickets to our own fans. Carter Finley needs to seat about 68-72K, but that means 10-12K empty seats for Southwest Bum **** State U (however we will still sell half those seats).

That means we are back to some 1-2 or 2 and 3 deal, or something home, away, and in Fed Ex, Charlotte, or Atlanta.

It just becomes easier to play Elon.
