APP better be ready to play from the first snap or we could get down a couple of scores early.
I have zero doubt Chip Lindsey is going to let it rip for this game. Will the players be able to execute though... that's the question.
A win over a Top 25 App State and getting bowl eligible would also help to cool down his hot seat.
I'm sure that Ted Roof knows Lindsey is going to let it rip as well. Not sure if you're running game has been what it was under Brown but playing coverage may be a priority for the first time in a while this season. App is usually able to generate pressure sending three and mixing a fourth from either edge or middle. Sometimes a slot corner/safety.
Will Barker be confused? Who knows.

I thinking losing that many defensive players made it a struggle for Troy, it may carry over into next season. If App gets an early 2 score lead, Troy will have a hard time winning the game.

It would not surprise me if Troy’s HC tells his punter and fg kicker to take the night off, I could see them going on 4th and reasonably short from the 35 on, fake punts, and anywhere in the redzone.

This should be a 8-4/7-5 team but due to poor coaching + bad luck + key injuries we will end up 5-7. I am not sure I want to watch this team getting destroyed in a bowl game anyways...

No worries. This may be the easiest pass defense App State has played against all year. There is a HIGH chance you score on your first possession.

We also have to overcome losing our best WR though. Will be some adjusting.

You don't need good receivers, just a guy or two that can catch a pass surrounded by five yards of empty space in each direction.

Dude... Arkansas State passed down our throats... with a backup QB... that was starting his first ever college game.
He threw for 440 yards. With a 71% completion rate. And 4 TD's. His first pass as a starter? A 92-yard bomb for a TD against Troy's pass D.
You'll have zero issues whatsoever.

I understood the call more when i saw the helmets hit gives them a chance to take a longer look, but also feel that was the right call, our guy was looking to give him a bear hug as far as i can tell

You guys spend way too much time worrying about the broadcast teams. At least these guys are trying to be fair. I guess us old farts that remember when there were 3 channels and maybe two games on every week are more appreciative of what ESPN + gives us.

9:30 minutes into the game and it’s 20-3 App St. I flipped over from the South game in time to see the extra point. This won’t get Troy bowl eligible.
