I said in other threads that football stadiums are maintenance hungry facilities where if you let them get old enough the maintenance becomes higher than the cost of a new stadium. You see tidbits of that in this AJC story, where GT is replacing the lights at Bobby Dodd Stadium with new LED lighting, and how the past season the lights were kept working with "bailing wire and duct tape". New LED lighting for a football stadium? That's about $100,000.
