All the teams that I follow/support ... collective scores are laughable yet respectable. I'm fine with them.

And by the way, that we all take the time to respond to this thread ... a kind of "laughable score-esque component" of our respective lives.

Mizzou at 5-6, will need to beat Arkansas to force the NCAAs hand.

Tennessee might end up 7-3 after the early debacles. Pruitt pulling a Southern Lovie.

I hate BC. Have since 1975.

Me too. 40-7, final.

ND has won 18 straight games at home.

They are undefeated there the past three years.

The Irish are 9-2 this season, 31-6 over the last three years.

If they beat Stanford or win their bowl game, that would make 3 straight double digit win seasons and 4 in 5 years.

And yet, many Domers want Brian Kelly fired.

Hear it everyday from ND fan at my office. Some fans are just miserable.

Anything year where Notre Dame doesn't win a national championship is considered a failure for many Notre Dame fans.

yeah clinched 3rd place in the SEC East this season. Don't think many saw that coming.... Might get something as good as the Outback Bowl for goodness sakes....

UT will likely beat VU (will be painful but I accept it for what is is) next weekend and finish 7-5. Strong finish for the season given the rough start.

Tennesse did not beat an FBS opponent until October 12. That must be a record for a bowl eligible team.

Lets face it: Tennessee has won 4 in a row against really bad competition, the softest teams in the SEC.

They will likely get crushed in their bowl game because thanks to a bunch of SEC teams making the NY6, they will face a much better opponent, overmatched.

They could end up playing a Minnesota or Iowa. That will be ugly.

Fulmer should’ve fired Pruitt and hired himself after the Alabama game. He’d be 5-0 going into the bowl game.

Quo, this has nothing to do with who UT beat. I agree with you that the Vols have won against "really bad competition," as you correctly note.

Rather, this is about an unsophisticated "country ballcoach simpleton" such as J. Pruitt keeping his team focused and hungry. I give him full credit for that. If you knew how much I despise these clowns (including many of the coaches — both football and hoops — for which the teams I root) ... you (and many others) would say ...

No question, the Tennessee coach deserves loads of credit for pulling things together after the multiple G5 losses and then getting blasted by a few of the good SEC teams. If you had asked me a month ago if UT would go bowling i would have laughed, so he proved me wrong.

So enjoy the trip to Florida or Texas for the bowl game. They earned it.

Regardless of opponent this is an exciting TN team. Last year we were in the same position, 5-5 and needing a win over Mizzou or Vanderbilt to go bowling and couldn't pull it off. If we beat Vandy we go 5-3 in the conference for the first time since 2015, and our losses were to Alabama, Georgia, and Florida, who all have a chance for a NY6 bowl game. Yes we may get trounced in the bowl, but making it and getting the extra practices, and potential recruiting perks in say Memphis, will be huge.

You beat Vandy and you are not going to Memphis. You will be going to Florida, for either the Outback or Gator Bowl. Or to Houston for the Texas Bowl.

You will not be feeding fron the bottom of the SEC bowl pool.

Big playoff picture ....

This was a bad day for the PAC.

A good day for the Big 12.

A good day for the B1G.

An even better day for Alabama and two SEC teams getting in.

I trust you are wishing the random UT fan (and I find those fools almost as offputting as the fans of the programs I follow) to enjoy "the trip to Florida or Texas for the bowl game" as you note ... because as a VU fan of many years, I would not wish any enjoyment to the average UT fan (and to very few Vandy fans, for that matter) for any game.
