Vermont beat St. Johns tonight, and remain undefeated. That will not be an easy game at all.

But an opportunity for a quality win. Good thing with the way the AAC teams are currently performing pre-conference.

UConn actually picked up a good win for the AAC for the first time in a while with a win over Florida yesterday.

Florida preseason top 10 and 2 and 2 with losses to unranked teams in Uconn and Fsu. Barely got by Towson. They've got issues.

We made it to #26 in CBS Top 25 plus 1. Hopefully we can have a strong tournament and start to get some traction elsewhere.

No votes in the AP. O$U moves into the Top 10, which helps make that loss not look too bad. XU at 18. We need that win. Vermont is #31.

Remember when some predicted the demise of UofL when Pitino was fired, and many said Chris Mack would fall on his face? Currently #2.

Who said Chris Mack would fall on his face? Seemed like a hire that was universally praised.

Does anyone know if Cumberland and Coach Brannen are on the same page?

Yes. Page 1, apparently.

Vermont hangs tough but loses to Virginia by 6. They should be 7-1 when they come here.

UK was #1 two weeks ago. Since then they lost to Evansville and barely beat Utah... something. So, rankings right now are a bit of a crap shoot.

OK so Louisville's #2. Big deal. I'm not really seeing the attraction. I don't see Louisville being a contender. I just don't see it.

I think this might end up a quad one game, no worse than quad two. To get to the tournament UC has to come out of Paradise Jam with a 3-0 record. Beat Vermont and Tennessee at home. If they lose any of those five then splitting Iowa and Xavier are a must. No worse than 9-3 and have to pick up a few wins over tournament level teams.

I expect UC to look really good at home again and somewhat lost sat times on the road at times

OSU is one of the most complete teams in the country, so there will be no shame in that loss going forward. Also, **** Chris Mack.

Wiseman gets 12 game suspension and must donate $11,500 to charity. Memphis is not happy and is appealing it.

I think he is lucky to still play this year.

I’m all for following the rules that are currently in place and laying punishment on those who don’t, but how do you fine someone who’s not “actively making money”? Someone who’s theoretically an amateur? Sounds very shady and they could win the appeal.. at least on the dollar fine.

He will almost definitely have to pay the money back. I don't know of any cases where money or services were involved that the athletes didn't have to pay that back to some sort of charity. I think Memphis is more concerned about the number of games he is missing. I would venture to guess that either they work something out where he can pay in the future or he/his parents are able to get a "loan" to pay that back. I would guess he could get a legitimate loan based on future earning potential.

In 6 months $11,500 will be change in the proverbial couch cushions.

They will find the money post haste.
