We got one of our biggest program wins on a very similar night back in 2006. Had as good a time as i can recall at Nippert that night. Everyone was on the field after the game high 5 the players. It was a great time.

The play that got UC over the hump in terms of earning some national respect in a BCS conference. A memorable night for all of us who attended (and that wasn't nearly as many as we have in Nippert these days).

Exactly, i know a lot of ticket holders who skipped it, and regretted it. I think it was the evening game after the Osu/Mich. afternoon game. It was rainy at first, but it stopped. Fun, fun night. I won't forget and still occasionally watch the dvd of the game Uc sent to all the season ticket holders.

I think Mike Mickens had two interceptions that night!

Oh, it was the same night as big state/Michigan. I was ready to buy tickets when my wife surprised me with a trip over that weekend. I had to watch it on the road, thinking damn that would have been fun.

I read the book bearcat rising, and the Rutgers game might be the only game they mention that I missed.

And DeLo's INT for TD too...man, I miss the defenses of 06-08...

I won’t sit out in the cold rain and neither should any other fan that is there with young children, elderly parents, or family members that being outside is bad for their health.

I will do cold weather, I will do rain, but not both at the same time. Really hoping we clear weather Saturday night.

Yeah. A couple of decades ago I would sit through that kind of weather. Getting old is a bit of a b****. Of course, very few games were telecast back then.
I am hoping the forecast clears up. Still might get there.

Watched from Boston at the time. Was a great win. For the record I sat out in the monsoon for the entire Miami game at PBS a couple years back so I will have no problem with flurries on Saturday! C’mon people!!

Congrats - your best post ever!

Just got four tickets to Temple and booked my hotel for the Memphis game.

You were saying???

When UC doesn't release game times until 6 days before the game, my very busy life and family gets in the way. Obviously, something you don't have to worry about.

Look at you....getting all layered up for a Night at Nip. Congrats!
Hey, I'll buy you a drink on Beale Street after Des engineers the game winning drive against Memphis.

It was so cold that night. Hip flasks helped to keep our little fan group warm. kept yelling Chop that wood!!!! Stayed the whole game and ran out on the field after. Great memory.

Confession time: I missed the Rutgers game, though I was a season ticket holder. I chose instead earlier in the season to go to South Bend and see Army v. Irish. Listened to the game on the way home with my brother and sister in law's and made the trip faster. I saw my other brother in law and his son coming home from the game. So a very magical night though I was not present. Go Bearcats! 02-13-banana

My wife said she will never sit through another monsoon like the Miami game. It was a cold rain. Snow is better than damn cold rain. Felt the same way when I played in HS.

This one will be fine as our club seats are top row which is under the Suite overhang or she can go into the club.

To me, nothing was worse then the '93 Memphis game. Cold, rain, sleet, heavy wet snow the entire game. Temperature wasn't really too bad, just that there was nothing dry on you.

Not a worry now, completely under cover.

I believe the 95' Memphis game was ice cold as well, no rain/snow though.

There was little rain or snow, but the 2014Thursday night game against East Carolina at Paul Brown Stadium was about as cold a game as I attended. I think there were about 1.000 people left at the end of one of the more exciting games in recent decades. My hands were still semi-frozen the next morning.

Yeah that was a bitterly cold evening. Not only did I wear three layers of clothes, but I had hand and foot warmers and it still was not enough. We weren't that far from the concourse and dipped inside a few times to warm up. IIRC that game was played in October.

I'll never forget this game for multiple reasons, including the fact Subflea and I were sitting near some ECU fans who made the trip and we were bantering back and forth with them.
