RE: MBB Game 5 - @ Oklahoma
Chance they may break into the rankings on Monday. They will have had almost a week to prepare for us.
Stanford, on the other hand, plays Tuesday night and has a quick turnaround for us on Thursday night. With the team not traveling until Sunday, would not expect much on Monday night, but Thursday we may make some noise with a lesser obstacle.

MBB Game 5 - @ Oklahoma
A couple of thoughts on Oklahoma.

- Very athletic and physical as a team.
- Very good defensively. Can we not turn the ball over?
- Reaves, a Wichita St transfer, is an out of this world shooter with a green light all of the time.
- Their 6'10 big, Manek, is a phenomenal spot up shooter that both Andy and Nate will have to account for. Left alone, he will make some shots. I'm hoping our length inside bothers him. Manek generally has the advantage on the perimeter with most bigs. I'm not sure that's the case with Nate or Andy.
- All of their guards handle well and are capable scorers.
- Oklahoma crashes the boards. It will be a bad look if we box out like we did vs Hampton.
- We must value the ball. Lazy perimeter passes from Scott can't happen.

My conclusion - This is a tough matchup for our guys in an environment where they will get little help from the refs. If we can match their defensive intensity, not waste possessions, and hit our free throws, we should stick around. This is also a game where if we don't match their physical play it could get away from us in a hurry. Regardless, it should be an excellent test for our kids and a character builder.

RE: MBB Game 5 - @ Oklahoma
Very tough matchup against a strong Big Five opponent on a partisan home court and coming the day after a long travel day is a tough assignment for our guys.

To stay in the game, at least for a while, we must cut down, as others have said above, on sloppy turnovers
and, as well, use the clock wisely.

But this team has continued to amaze, so I'm hoping for a decent showing.

This road trip to Okc and Stanford is really good for the program. I hope we can do this every year.

I’ve been to games at 4 different Big 12 sites including Kansas. This game will have a spectacle type of environment. Nothing at all like they’ve experienced. A genuine memory maker.
At PA vs Stanford; we could catch them with their pants down and get the win and the $$$!

Direct TV's on-screen viewing guide shows the W&M-Oklahoma game as being televised on MASN at 7 PM Monday evening.
That is Channel 640 on Direct TV. I'm assuming anyone that receives MASN wherever it is carried will be able
to watch the game on regular tv (just like the old days!),

You are correct. My Comcast Xfinity lists the game on MASN and as well.

Yeah, 844 and 845 are both MASN channels in Richmond. Figure there is a good chance it is on one of them.

We should cover that or we are going to lose by 40 depending on whether we think we can play against them.

MASN2 is on channels 36 and 821 (HD, but aren't they all HD now?) on Charter/Spectrum in the 757.

I'm very curious to see how Dane adjusts our defensive strategy tonight. This is the most balanced team we've played so far and up until this point we've had an emphasis on limiting touches and forcing star players into low percentage shots. OU has enough weapons that if we focus on one guy they'll hurt us elsewhere.

Being the old fart that I am, I still watch the non-HD channels. On Comcast in Richmond, MASN2 is channel 19 (and MASN is 43). I have all the non-HD channels I watch memorized but then the box tells me every single time that it is changing it to HD. I don't have any of those numbers memorized (probably because I can only memorize two digits at a time).
