Interesting idea involving the teaching faculty with the coaching process.

"The Sideline Coach will have the opportunity to observe practice, scout and film sessions the day leading up to a game and then on gameday, spend time with the team at shootaround, film session, pregame talk, halftime meeting and post-game comments with Coach Fischer. The faculty member will also sit on the bench with the team during the Tribe's home game."

My son is hoping to do the same program at George Mason, though he is a staff member and not faculty. I guess Dane brought it from there?

That is absolutely awesome.

This is a great way to get faculty involved and aware of the student athletes. Getting advocates in the faculty is so important to a sustainable program at a plact like ours. It would be awesome if it eventually included folks from the community
