It appears we tagged 10 bowls with this tweet! All over the country! I'm in for every bowl, but the potato bowl! Boise, ID could be 10 degrees then! Too cold for me......

The word I'm getting is they'll know on Sunday. The EMU Football Banquet is on Sunday at 1:00. I believe bowl announcements start at noon on Sunday, so it's seems likely there could be an announcement at the banquet.

When I last spoke with Alex, the coaches were still saying they have no solid sense as to if and where (at least not that they are sharing). Among the players, rumors are all over the place, but it seems TJ Lang having tweeted in support of the Motor City Bowl has some interest among the players. As an MSU alum, I'd love to see the Eagles and the Spartans face off in the Motor City Bowl. Go Eagles!

I don't want any part of Michigan St! Yes, they've had a very average year at 6-6, but they beat W Mich by 5 TD's, and with are run defense, we've ZERO chance.......I'm not being negative here, I'm being realistic! We're 112th against run in the country! Michigan St would run for 400 yards! There physical size advantage between there offensive line and are defensive line is simply too much as well! Other then Akron, MAC RB ran wild against us!

Does the ACC have enough teams to get one to the Quick Lane Bowl or not?

RE: Countdown to Bowl Eligibility
This is an ACC 'flow chart' of their bowl selection options...

https://virginiasports.com/sports/2019/1...games.aspx

Some of it is easy to follow; some not too much. I assume 8 bowl bids with the potential of up to 5 more for which they do NOT have enough teams 6 - 6 or better.

I counted 10 ACC eligible teams.

As I read it, Clemson to CFP, two teams to New Year's bowls, including the Orange Bowl. Maybe Camping World. And then 4 others. And 5 others including Quick Lane are possible.

What is your read??

That was by far the best game we played! We had 6 sacks! We had ZERO turnovers as well! I see your point, but Ball St, Toledo, Buffalo, W Mich, and Kent St ran nonstop against us! It would be ugly I guarantee it! It would be great, because it's local, but most likely a very embarrassing result!

RE: Countdown to Bowl Eligibility
I initially thought so, but this MSU team just wants the season to be over with. They haven’t looked good in over a month, and needed some good luck to beat an awful Maryland team.

I wouldn’t guarantee a win or anything, but I would expect a pretty good game. They have a hard time generating a pass rush, and their secondary isn’t very good. Glass would have a good day.

I've been reviewing the projections and hoping just like many of you. And while I will celebrate if we get in, I just don't see it. I get the argument about Liberty, but they have 7 wins and a decent fan base. I just don't see a path unlessss some team turns it down.

I agree! Toledo or us! I've looked at 9 different sites, and 3 have us in, and 6 out! Two say in the Potato bowl!

Watching the MAC Championship game today. I hate to say it but the two contestants last year NIU and Buffalo, blow these guys out! Miami was 4-0 in one possession games in the MAC this year. We were 1-3. Steal some games and you can be champions, lose 'em and stay home at season's end.

Bye the way Ken their kicker was 21-25 in field goals, a likely explanation for such.

UPDATE:247 now has us in the Quick Lane vs Boston College. In their blurb about it, they say "MSU or EMU in the Motor City makes the most sense for all parties and we're hearing the Spartans are heading elsewhere."

I would love for the Quick Lane Bowl! As a poor recent college grad, it's the only one I'd have a real shot at going to 03-lmfao

Bottom line: I think the MAC has 5 primary bowls. Two secondary including Quick Lane. We will not know much UNTIL we ascertain whether we get to fill both of those secondary.

Then it is a game of 'last chair' and seeing what bowl needs a dance partner and what the contractual obligations of that bowl are, if any.
