I hate whoever was saying “tudder” for touchdowns. It’s so obnoxious I just might use it.

I hope it wasn’t Hasselbeck because I liked him in his playing days.

I like McAfee, though I also like the energy he brings when he's doing stuff for WWE. He's definitely an acquired tastes guy. But given the biggest personalities in commentary are edging toward their final reward (Vitale, Corso, Bill Walton), it'd be nice to find the next generation of memorable voices, knowing that there'll be more misses than hits.

McAfee should be for GameDay to wake you up or a sideline reporter. Get him out of the booth.

Good point, to find a Tony Romo you have to go through a few Jason Wittens. I like McAfee in general but he's a bit too much as a commentator; then again when I watch weeknight football it feels weird no matter what unless Jim Barber and Rocky Boiman are on the call (with Desmond Howard every now and then), it's Stockholm Syndrome I suppose.

What's troubling about it is they tend to go either too far in both directions, whether it's safe and boring (Bomani Jones) or trying way too hard (Cowherd, Bayless). Finding someone that's passionate and with a weak filter, but without them being a blowhard isn't easy, but I imagine selling a personality like that on TV execs can't be easy either.
