Some studs on that squad. My fave was hard hitting safety Tracy Wilson. Worked with him at the telefund.

RE: NOVAK'S LAST YEAR
Who knows if Hammock will be any good. I sure hope he can recruit. The great NIU team of last year would not have won the MACC and would have lost more games without Sutton and Cocharan. New coach, new philosophy on offense makes it tough. Also lose a stud OL. My age doesn't let my mind recall his name. Not a surprise this team not so great this year. Could have been better this year is agreed with. Again hopes are that Hammock also improves going forward. We all will find out in 3 years. Basketball has been waiting for many more years to get their groove. The new meaning of the Hard way, waiting on coaches to develop. My hope is Hammock and staff are a beast on the recruiting trail.

Well, so far, it seems like Hammock can recruit. His incoming class looks really good.

But then again, Monty could recruit too. Remember stud center Marin Maric. Or 4 star PG Marshawn Wilson? Then we got Eugene German....the only thing Monty didn't give us, was wins

Yes, which to me means that as a coach he leaves quite a bit to be desired.

I'll give Hammock a pass for being new to HC, and working with a staff he doesn't have continuity with. Idk what Monty's problem is? He just ....sucks?

Nader is still in the NBA. Monty had him for two years. Nader then found his playing ability at Iowa State.

Monty is not a good head coach. He needs to be replaced. Hope that happens soon.

He's here until June 30, 2021, unless he's given another extension (which I expect).

That’s a damn good list. Spann is overlooked because of guys like Burner, Hammock, Wolfe and the Cowboy but he was a great player

Tyrone Clark was a smaller MLB but he was all muscle and he could hit.

Didn't he lead the nation in rushing TDs? I thought he'd be something as a pro.

Nice list for a young 'un. We grandpas that were on campus in the early 70's remember watching Mark Kellar lead the nation in rushing as a Huskie. He later played for the Minnesota Vikings who used him in their goal line offense as he was tough as nails.
