Prediction: Toledo 27-21. Northern has a chance to win at the end but Toledo’s defense comes through as they have several times this season...

Regrettably we will likely lose this game. I am not doubting Thomas, I just think that we are a beat up football team and it will be tough to overcome our injuries. I do hope that the game is competitive and that will depend on whether or not our O and D lines get pushed around as they were last game. I suspect that we lose by more than ten points.

That said, I will watch the game and hope for a Huskie victory. I have followed the team through ups and downs for 48 years so I am not about to stop doing so.

48 years? I got 47. You could slow down a bit and wait for some of us to catch up. Anyway ...

I have said this several times this season, and will admit to be slightly loony about it ... but ... I would like to see NIU try a backfield of Bowers at QB, Childers at option/RB, and Harbison at RB. Bowers takes the snap and then ?? ... Also like to see the two TEs, Crawford and Brinkman in there, plus plus they can also block, and Ritchie and ?? at WRs. Crazy, right?

We werr likely on campus at the same time. I began in Sept of 71 and finished in June of 75.

yes. transfer in Sept 72 from d-1aa school, instantly became d-1a Huskies fan. grad mid-year Dec. '74.

Toledo only favored by 2 1/2 over NIU, I expected worse.

Can't see NIU pulling this off, just hope we keep it competitive and try some new plays, anything to get the offense fired up.
