A win is a win, and 4 weeks from now no one will remember how poorly we shot or how close our 2nd win was and to who.

But this team needs to play better if they want to succeed in OOC.

In the last week -

GW who we play win December - won at GW by 12.

Today GW lost at home to Princeton by 25.

As I said, a win is a win, but will need better performance to have an at-large caliber OOC.

Complaining about how the Good Gals did against Villanova kind of negates the way Villanova plays. I've watched them for years, because they used to play Tennessee a LOT, and their defense is smothering. The fact that two of our players were able to score the way they did speaks volumes. it means their defense could do nothing against Lexie and Kamiah....or that Lexie and Kamiah knew exactly how to get around it, take your pick. Also, looking at the box score and the ridiculous number of fouls called, I'd say the refs must have had new whistles or something. JMU did out-rebound Nova, and also had more steals. That should tell you something about our defense. That's how you have to beat teams like that.

Some of y'all missing the point entirely. They do what they have to do to win. Nova could not shut down Lexie and Kamiah. They simply COULD NOT. And I'm sure they tried. They shut down everyone else pretty much (apparently not quite Kiki though...she will be a force!). That means that Lexie and Kamiah knew where their weaknesses were from last time (one thing about Nova, their style hasn't changed in 30 years!) and could exploit them. So it wasn't a 40-point win......BFD. You aren't going to get a 40 point win against Nova unless you're Oregon.
