Will Thomas Hammock be able to do the same? Don't know but he deserves the opportunity

PJ did NOT inherit a defending conference champion with 17 returning starters.

Yep. WMU finished 5th in the MAC West the season before he was hired. Plus recall all the buzz he brought to the program during that one win season. Where is all that buzz right now at NIU? NIU is tanking and the stadium is empty. Stretch comparison in my opinion.

RE: ' That Guy"
Eidness hasn't impressed. I've said several times we need our offense to play like it did in the second half of the Ohio game. Passing primarily from the double TE formation and setting up the run. We are running the double TE but we aren't throwing nearly enough off it. we need to throw high % passes to the TEs. We really don't have a wide variety of passes to the TEs. We throw the seam, shallow cross, and misdirection and that's it. We should have a wide array of short passes to the TEs because the can break tackles. We should run all types of screen, slants, fades, outs, flats, curls, stops, everything to get the ball to them. Targeting them less than 10 times a game doesn't make sense. The more successful the TEs are in the passing game the more successful our running game will be. And for crying out loud, we need playaction almost every play...

We have no choice but to give Thomas Hammock a few years and hope for the best.
True: Like PJ he is trying to build a new culture.
True: PJ at WMU was a different scenario, but at Minnesota maybe it is a closer scenario to home.
He seemed to take Minnesota backwards before going 8-0.

I may not be able to answer your question as precisely as you would like.
Maybe someone with more knowledge can do a much better job.

That 1-11 Bronco team had Zach Terrell and Corey Davis starting. Man, if they only had some playmakers on their roster I bet they’d have been bowl eligible. Playmakers solve everything. Not coaching.

Not interested in a bowl game unless they really turn it around and LOOK like a bowl worthy team. What I’m really hoping for is a team that looks competent in executing their system.

I will settle for showingimprovement, and enthusiasm , from week to week...the lack of these, are what I find, most disturbing, at this point in time.

And he did not win 3, potentially 6 games either. Only 1

I'm always interested in a bowl game. I'm always excited for NIU football. I think we are on solid footing. Get some transfers, recruit well, get healthy, and get coaches one year under their belts and we should be exciting next year. Injuries and coaching inexperience did us in this year. But the fact they got the penalties under control shows they can get things done that are under their control.
