Valparaiso posted a 15-18 record a year ago and will be led by a pair of Preseason AllMVC Second Team honorees, senior forward Ryan Fazekas (11.8 ppg, 43.2 3PTFG%) and sophomore guard Javon Freeman-Liberty (11.0 ppg, 4.3 rpg).

Some decent mid-major matchups on the schedule. We’ve lost the first one to Valpo...will be interesting to see how we do against Marshall (twice), Oakland & Wright State. I liked our chances for a good season with Edu; without him, I worry about our lack of depth. I don’t see 20 wins in the cards, but there’s certainly enough talent that we should finish the season on the plus side by more than a few games.
